I see that it is another company ready to make a new light, quite a beast, with the same SBT-90.2 led,but even bigger reflector than the BLF-G. Astrolux.
Should be possible to drive it with a L4P driver with 2 or 3 extra FETs on the output and a same amount of sense resistors stacked on it.
Still, green tint or not, that’s not that important.
My objection, based on what i’ve seen in Matt VoB’s video, is the cold CCT.
The blueish beam makes it quite hard to see what you’re actually shining on.
I was not in the Group Buy but just received my light. It’s a throw beast and the tint runs cool. I have to say for my purposes the GT70 is still my favorite due to the amount of spill that I can see but I look forward to opening up the GT90 in longer areas to see how far I can push it.
Where on Neal’s website I can put the code (for the Group buy). I didn’t find any option to use the code… Is the Group buy already closed? (Already contacted Neal, waiting for his answer)
You might need to use the desktop version of the site? I have never tried to use the mobile version but on the desktop it has a promo code box during checkout.
As he says in the video, you can disable the thermal control (or raise the temperature much higher then factory) and it will never step down from turbo.
At some point in the video he compares the lights at 15 minutes of runtime and the GT90 has much better output.
Now days I tend to disable thermal control on lights that only I use, I only leave it on on lights that others might use.
