Wanted xhp70.2 light or DIY kit

Hi guys, new here. I have a dirt bike that I’m trying to get the brightest led lights on without breaking the bank, and it cant be more than 30watts total power consumption- so I cant just add more LEDs to get more light, need to get the most lumens per watt, and from what I understand the xhp70.2 is the best option. What is the best bang for buck xhp70.2 light that I can get? It can be any kind of light, flashlight, headlight, led pod, DIY kit, anything. I can make a custom mount for it so that’s not an issue. Prefer something that has flood and throw.

Thanks in advance!

Nothing?

I’m new to all this stuff so thanks in advance!

I have one of these, no idea if it's a genuine XHP70.2 and batteries they supply are terrible but for the price i'm impressed with the output, and it's a zoom head also which I really like in a flashlight, if you like i'll take a photo of the output next to a couple of Sofirns and Convoys when I get home form work later.

Sofirn SP70, Convoy M3, Convoy L6 are popular XHP70 flashlights. Not sure if they are too big for your bike?

If a flashlight uses multiple leds it is also more efficient at lower levels.

Does it appear to have the output of a true xhp70.2? Because I have ordered multiple other “xhp70.2” flashlights from aliexpress, but when I compared them to a fenix pd36r it was like half the output and the fenix is only 1600 lumens and the xhp70.2 is supposed to be close to 4000 lumens. I would just use a pd36r in a heartbeat, it’s perfect for my application, but 100$ is alot to throw at an experimental project…

Thanks I’ll look into those. As long as it doesn’t pull more than 30watts then it’s not to big, I just need the head with electrical components and I’ll make a mount for it.

What’s the voltage available from the dirt bike?
Or: how do you intend to power the light?

No idea but you said "without breaking the bank" and for $12 it's pretty damn good and a zoomie, so flood and throw adjustable as you require, just don't buy their batteries ;)

The SP70 will most likely pull more than 30W and is the biggest of these three.

The voltage available is 13.4 to be exact but I plan on using a voltage regulator to match the voltage of whatever flashlight I will end up using.

Something like this?

THIS ?

Something like that would be perfect! Has anyone tried it yet and can confirm that it a true xhp70.2 with the 3-4K lumen output? Can kaidomain be trusted with their claims? I dont want it to be another one of those xhp70.2 I’ve bought on aliexpress that are less output than a fenix pd36r (my only source for comparison as I know it’s TRUE output @1600lumens.)

Why not just use a headlight for a motorcycle.

That light there can handle 8.4 Volts maximum.
You’ll still need a driver or step down to handle the 13.4 Volts.

That’s not necessary when you use a driver that can handle 13.4 Volts.

But i don’t have one in mind, but maybe others do.

Also, you can run the XHP70.2 in 12 Volts configuration in stead of 6 Volts configuration.

I think it may even survive direct drive just fine, as long as it has a good thermal path / heat sink.

So that means no driver or regulator, just an ON / OFF switch, straight from the battery.

Where’s the fun in that?
