I ordered a Q8 diffuser the first day the site was mentioned here on BLF. With the $2 off coupon it was $.99 shipped. It turned out to be not in stock, but I got notified it was shipped today, so that item is in stock now. I plan to modify the diffuser with a cone reflector on the inside to give my Q8 the ability to act like an LT1.

I received my Q8 diffuser, installed a cone of aluminum foil inside the diffuser. Now I have a decent replica of the LT1. Only CW tint, no bail handle or battery charging, but in a pinch I’ll have a second lantern type light at my disposal. Yes, I have used the Q8 in ceiling bounce, the reflector/diffuser setup is much more effective at spreading light around a room.

i saw the addition of various LED choices for the C8F, that is great news. May I suggest that beside domed LEDs you would also add triple XPL-HI in neutral white 5000K or triple SST20 4000K 95CRI? Or at least the possibility to order the triple MCPCB with these LEDs (XPL HI or SST20) already reflowed? Thanks!

Thank you for telling these. But now we only sell C8F with leds we have in stock. we don’t have XPL HI 5000K. We have SST20 4000K, I will upload that.

Earlier today I purchased three flashlights, some 18650 and 21700 batteries on Sofirnlight dot com. One of the torches I bought is a C8F LH351D 5000K 90CRI, It was an amazing deal, all those items for $90.

But now I see the post above regarding the C8F only being available in SST20 4000K. I don’t want it in SST20 4000K.

Why does the prototype of the LT1 cost more than the black production LT1?

I really like the gold color, maybe it could be a bit less brown. If the BLF LT1 will come in this color I will buy one.

I bought some Sofirn 26650 batteries from the Sofirn Store. The description said 5000 mAh, but both of the pictures showed 55000 mAh.

I figured it was an old description that got overlooked, or a typo. I ASSUMED that the pictures were unquestionable solid proof of what you will get. Wrong, I received 5000 mAh batteries.

Confusing, so I emailed Sofirn a couple of days ago. Still waiting for a reply.
