Question and suggestions (for Simon and/or anyone else).-
What are the actual (modder and tinkerer) differences between the classic 26650 L2 and the 21700 L21A? As far as I know, the L2 fits all 26650s, including the slightly wider, market leading Power Long Battery cells. However, I heard somewhere that the L21A has problems with some 21700 cells, i.e. the tube is too tight. If this is so, I would ask the machine shop to slightly widen the internal diameter of the L21A tubes (to ∅21.8 - 21.9 mm), modifying the drawings in the process, this way the L21A would be more appealing and trouble-free . Tip: Lishen cells are the widest I believe, at ∅21.7 mm with a single wrap, see just below:
Both fit ∅22 mm drivers with a little bit of filing, ∅21.5 - 21.6 mm driver bay. Don’t know how deep is it but I guess very powerful buck or boost drivers can be used. 21700 extension tubes may appeal to someone.
Regarding which batteries fit… my experience:
The Convoy L2 won’t fit the Keeppower protected 6000mAh 26650, as per my test. Some 26650s are also tight (may fit when battery is pushed into the tube, but the battery won’t slide out when turning the tube upside down - so it’s that tight).
The Convoy L21A battery tube seems to suffer the same somewhat tight 21700 (it won’t fit the Sofirn 21700, Liitokala Lii-40A, nor iJoy 3750mAh 21700, as per my testing). Genuine Samsung 21700 and LG 21700 appears to fit.

I can confirm that, the new tube diameter is 22mm and now a Shockli cell fits.
Also the tailcap is shorter

What about the S21A? Is there a new batch with more diameter?

The S21A from the later batch (at least the one I bought about a month ago) can accommodate the Lishen batteries now.

Send him a message on AE after CNY, he will help you.
I've been interested in seeing the SST40 driver with biscotti firmware making it to the Convoy Store for ordering
The Convoy Store on AE has message that it planned to open on or about February 10th,that's tomorrow.
I think the odds are on it getting delayed further, maybe a couple more weeks
It doesn't look good in China yet.

I don’t remember if it was posted before and it’s difficult to search on my phone - is it possible to get that flat-top adapter for the 4X18A by itself? Would be hugely helpful and far better than me trying to solder little copper things onto batteries.
Hope all is well over there.

Just curious. Will copper pills be finally made for aluminum hosts? Simon mentioned a run was to be produced long ago, but looks like the thing got frozen. :???:
There are more than enough enthusiasts around here to guarantee sales of a nice batch of copper pills for alu hosts/flashlights, in my honest opinion.

Do you plan to sell 20 mm biscotti drivers?
Simon, your Attiny 13 drivers with biscotti firmware has a common know problem: when change modes rapidly (quickly), this driver spontaneously goes to programmable-mode.
Do you FIXed this problem in your new 6 Ampere biscotti drivers?
P.S. Even TK was spoken about this problem in your Attiny 13 drivers.
You have a funny nickname! Welcome to BLF! And hello to you from Russia!
