Recommend Battery for Lumintop Tool AA?

What’s the best one for Lumintop Tool AA? And reputable store to buy from? Do I need to get a protected cell?

For 14500s I just went’n’got a bunch of EBL cells offa Amazon for those lights that take Li cells. Decent-enough cells, great customer service.

For 1.5V-only lights, I’m using Tenevolts Li cells. Nb: they’ll supply a rock solid 1.5V from charged ’til dead, and literally just shut off without warning, so have a backup handy for that, Just In Case.

Anything “in-between”, I’ll use the odd LiFePO4 (Baseline, also offa Amazon). Even in nominally “1.5V” lights, I get brighter output without frying the driver. Ymmv.

AAs/14500s aren’t gonna be screamers anyway, so I even use the EBLs in my GTmicros, and they still kick arse.

I’ve been using the Shockli 14500 1000mA cells and they’ve been great, very close to capacity with enough draw to give the Lumintool AA turbo a chance to run. And you can get them from Amazon US quickly with prime.

Only button top cells seem to work in my Tool AA 2.0, so steer clear of flat tops.

I second the Shockli cell. They don’t show up in a Amazon search because they don’t have 14500 in their title, but they could possibly be the best 14500 cell you can get right now. Between the Shockli here and Efest here you can’t go wrong.
