A while ago I cut open one of these tail switch modules and like real dummy cut into the pcb’s and some of the traces. I have a project for it now but since they are discontinued I need to repair this one. I don’t really enjoy soldering but it’s part of the hobby so I try it now and then :person_facepalming:
I think this is the smallest soldering I’ve ever attempted. After soldering (which tested both my ability and patience) I connected power and only 4 leds (every second led) lit up. I thought maybe I had a dodgy solder so tried again… and again only to have the same 4 leds light up.
So on closer inspection I found I had cut another trace on the under side. There wasn’t much space but I got it soldered. Connected power …. nothing…. none of the leds lit up :person_facepalming:
So I removed the wire on the under side and got the 4 leds to light up again.
Anyone know how the wiring should be? or have any advice/tips ? Even if you have a spare I can buy from you…. :innocent:
