The making of the BLF UC4 charger: the start of a new venture, INTEREST LIST, UPDATE 7 (Well, ramping stopped :/ )

I think the more complicated you make this charger, the less chance it’s ever going to be produced.

Well, that is a possibility, since DLYFULL actually makes ISDT chargers.

Interested in one.

This is indeed great news. It could/should be easy enough for them given some knowhow and economies of scale in development and manufacturing to implement this.

How far along in the development at this time?

Oh, note 2- please, please be sure the sliding rails are ’good”. No perfection may be a unicorn not worth chasing, but let’s face it, how may chargers have we all tossed because of broken rails?

Last- I checked the charger interest list and don’t see my name. Yes I only expressed interest late last week, but can I get on that list for 1, possibly 2?

That’s for certain! But if a UI is basically done for a “sister” product, it may be an “easy” bolt-on?

I have ISDT SC-608 and it has by far the best charger UI that I’ve seen so far. Likely similar to that of C4. So…I fully support that.

interested in a second one.

Is it the UI concept that’s pushed you?

Absolutely interested in this — would like to be added to the list; I know I’m new to BLF, but not to other light forums… don’t know if a bit of rep/veteran status is required to get in on this…

Weclome to BLF, aryntha!

Usually it doesn’t matter if you are new. This is not a giveaway and for an interest list your post count is not important.

Quite a few members made their first post in a group buy thread, like for example in the BLF LT1 GB-thread.

Cool, thanks, no problem… And yes, know it’s not a giveaway! But with the intended specifications I’d probably pay more than the intended price. Finding a good charger has been tough, and it’d be nice to not have a drawer full for different purposes.

… And it’s about time I’m here, been buying too many lights lately. (Previously years on CPF and LPF, but you guys make this kinda stuff happen. )

Thanks!

Welcome to BLF and yes this is THE forum for sure!

I hear you on finding the right charger. My drawer and trash has too many and I actually have a post here looking to buy one NOW while we wait for this gem to materialize.

Wow, I like that ISDT display! Never saw that brand before.

It’s a pretty popular RC hobby brand with a good reputation. I really do not understand why they put this great interface on a dedicated fixed length cell charger given that there are so many minute and large lengths of common cells like the 18650!
