Excellent design indeed, however reverse clicky is not my type of switch.
If they make it with an electronic switch and some kind of ramping UI, that would be amazing.
BTW after I wrote this comment I got the ThruNite T10 II and it’s really nice, the only thing missing is a battery level indicator.
Still waiting for the project Sofirn SP10S with Anduril, fingers crossed.
I just received some shockli 1000 mah 14500 cells & im getting 30 minutes extra run time with my zebralight H52 headlamp on H1 compared to Pkcell 14500 750mah, fenix 14500 800mah & AW 14500 750mah ,
That’s on first charge from new before any cycles , looks like very good cells.
Anyone know how many amps the Lumintop GT Micro and Lumintop Tool AA pull? Is 3 amps on these batteries enough for those two lights or do I need the Vapcell 650mah 7 amp batteries for those?
Using a Shockli 14500 660mAh at around 4.00v (ie. not yet fully-charged), I measure around 2.5 Amps on a Tool AA 2.0 with XPL-HD LED, and around 3.0 Amps on a Tool AA 2.0 with XP-L2 LED. I’m measuring around 4.0 Amps on a GT Micro.
Interesting. The 3A version does higher than 3A if you look at HKJ’s graph. It was rated way too conservatively so I’m guessing it is the same cell with a new wrap.
It’s nice to see this great review as these were the first 14500 cell I bought. Best ones I have, still using them often 8 months later. Got them on amazon without knowing this review existed(feb 2020) Good price too.
The boost driver means that AA flashlights without proper LVP can easily overdischarge 14500s to 0.x V. I lost several Efest to overdischarge in several flashlights, fortunately I haven’t lost any of the Shockli yet. I don’t know whether the Lumintop has good LVP.
