Group Buy Now Live - BLF GT90 SBT-90.2 powered 5,000 Lumen, 1.8Mcd / 2600m Super Thrower

As of right now, nothing has changed, still on “waiting for recipient”.

Remember that China is all but shut down for the next few weeks, so a lot of things tend to just sit during this time. It amazes me just how shut down the entire country can be during this time.

Received my light yesterday.

Gt90 arrived yesterday as promised per shipping info.
What a beast. On factory settings turbo timer kicked
In and the head was just warm, not uncomfortable at all.
Those fins are doing what they are supposed to do.
This is my first GT light and am impressed with the build quality, and I would not want to take a hit upside the head with it.
Only issue I can see is slightly off center emitter, but its a thrower not a white wall hunter. At distance you cant tell.
Bottom line is Im very happy with it so far and glad I grabbed one. Thanks to all invovled with this project.
Btw…I suck at beamshots so please dont ask for any.

If you like this one you need to get a GT70 too. The throw is barely less perceptible while the flood is significantly greater.

Forgot to mention a few things:

  1. Order placed on Jan. 7th, shipped on Jan. 17th, received on Jan. 21st.
  2. The original BLF GT battery carriers had spring loaded contacts on one end. The BLF GT90's battery carriers don't. Not a big deal. Just thought I'd mention it.
  3. The Lumintop BLF GT90 logo+text are way off on the alignment with the power button. See the comparison below between GT, GT70, and GT90:

I’m holding out for the GT4.

That’s a bit annoying considering it’s not cheap.

hm that would drive me insane havin the gt90 so way off centre…

1: Good to hear they are arriving
2: This change tot he carrier is to improve current carrying since it needs to handle 30A vs the 3A-10A of the prior versions.
3: That is a very strange issue, All the others I have seen have been aligned the same as the GT70.

As someone who bought several GT70’s I can tell you the printing varied (even the font size) and the feeling of the metal and anodizing varied. These factories are not super consistent.

Would it be worth the hassle to contact nealsgadgets and request a replacement? This is definition a quality control issue. Other than this flaw, everything else about the light looks good.

You can try to request one. The shipping boxes for these is not the best and a couple lights arrived damaged where that part of the light was severely dented requiring replacement. If you have a strap wrench, pliers and vice it’s not too hard to replace.

This would be a lumintop issue, not a Neal issue as Neal would of got the light like this, he would of known about it.

You can contact lumintop and request a replacement but I think that while they might agree to this a more favorable outcome for both of you might be something along the lines of a free small light from them to make up for the mistake for example. This will be a lot less costly and simpler / easier for everyone.

I can’t speak for them though, just tossing out an idea that might work better then a flat replacement. Be aware that they are closed for the next few weeks, so realize it could take some time to get a reply and you might need to send another message in a few weeks.

What's inside your boxes? Mine only came with some spare O-rings.. no manual, no nothing.

Strange it should of come with a manual but that is about it besides the light itself/ Sure you checked under all the foam? You can download the manual from the GT70 thread, it uses the same firmware.

Yep mine came with manual and spare oring.
My etching is off center as well, I didn’t
notice until you mentioned it. I’m ok with it.
At least it was double boxed, great choice.

What a beast, what a beam. I need a bigger yard. :+1:

Same here, content was all there and was double boxed.

My GT90 has arrived

Received mine today. Same text alignment but not that bothered. The VTC6 cells are charging very slowly and my new C4-12 charger and old C4 both think most cells have pretty high resistance. The button tops have a white plastic surround. Strangely the resistance seems to vary a lot from cell to cell 50, 200, 500, 800. The old charger measures my other VTC6 flat tops at around 20-30mOhm.
