How do you carry your EDC light?

I carry a Quark AA "X" 14500 in my right pocket with a deep clip. Right next to a Benchmade Mini Griptillian and some kind of sturdy SS pen. Yeah, they rub against each other. give's em character, no shelf queens here! Phone deeper in the pocket, doesnt really rub against them. Keys in the left pocket - cant clip anything to the left pocket or the keys catch it.

For days when something smaller is required, a modded EoStream 10440 (my old EDC) replaces the quark. I still like the EoStream better for holding my mouth hands free, but the quark is not terribly uncomfortable.

I've thought about adding a DQG III to the keychain, but that would strictly be as a backup light, not a primary EDC. Can't hold it hands free in my mouth when its on a keychain. Likewise I've never been a huge fan of anything hanging around my neck. So pocket carry for me!

I use clip for attaching DQG to keychain. Clip it off if I need spare flashlight less than second passed.

Inside a cargo pocket, one on either side.

Rusty Joy, there is something that I've never quite understood that you may be able to help with. I can't for the life of me figure out how anybody can put anything with any substantial mass in their cargo pockets and go about their day. Anytime I've ever tried it, especially if I have to move with any speed, the objects create a pendulum effect. Very annoying I find. Have you experienced this? If so, doesn't it bother you?

I own plenty of cargos, but can't bring myself to to wear them more than just occasionally, despite wanting to to want their extra capacity. I'd be interested in any other's opinions too.

CQG/BLF-S1 keychain and a second AA /cr123light in my left hand pocket depending on my mood .

My work pants all have cargo pockets and I never put anything in there. I find it very annoying. Maybe I could get used to it if I tried it but I will never know.

Side pockets on pants/shorts are quite annoying in this regard(?), I try to carry only lightweight items in them that wont bounce and wont fall out easily when walking/running/crawling/whatever :D.

I carry my lights either in my jackets side pockets or in my pants front pocket, if its pants or shorts then I attach my light using clip.

So, I see I'm not the only one who thinks cargo pockets lack the utility they purport to have. I would love to jam a bunch or stuff in there, but as soon as you go active, they fall short.

Hey, I was loving my cargo pants during the underground survey. I was able to stick my folder 6' wooden ruler right into one of those pockets and not have to wear my survey belt/pouch (similar to a carpenters pouch). It fit perfectly into that pocket without slop though and I wasn't very active. I didn't put anything else in any of the other pockets though (other than my SK68 clone clipped in my left side front pocket).

Yeah... IMHO cargo pants are good as a backup or temporary storage. I find my waistline/hips are the best place for gear. Its a relatively immobile location on my body, below my spine/back so items stowed here do not seem as "weighty" when I am on the trails.

Agreed - I can't put anything in cargo's except for temporary usage. Now for temporary things, its great, stuff anything you want in there, even a water bottle. But thats just for a short time... long term, only thing I'll put in there is papers, memory cards, lens caps, etc.

When I have to carry more gear than my pockets will allow I use one of these and I like it a lot .

Hey Jack, where's the limerick to go along with that?

I wear Levi's every day and I carry a Lumapower Incendio V3+ in the little watch pocket. The light is with me from the time I put my pants on in the morning until I take them off at night. The nice part is that you never know it's there until you need it.

HAHAHAHA! This is what happens when the BLF Poet Laureate creates such high expectations. More, more, more! We can never be satiated. You've created a monster. I'm going to beam with pride when years from now I tell people that, "I was there at the beginning".

mine's always in a holster..i'm too much of a sissy to put the clip on my sc600 for fear or scratching it..that and it would rub my knife which is clipped to the inside of my pocket..

I guess this is similar in concept . .

I've put this on a alice/molle adapter without the alice clips and find the wider attachment points with snaps much easier to work with for either belt or day bag use.

Holds quite a lot, and yet it is still not a lot deeper than my old Razer phone belt case.

On the cargos, I find the "pendulum" problem is lesser with shorts. Especially if the gear is secured in the pocket (http://www.thelunatickstore.com/Holsters_c10.htm).

Best pair of cargos I have are made by Coliseum because they have a "coin" pocket that holds both a Kershaw Cyclone and a 6" light WITH full access to the pocket below.

I pocket carry (clipped or in the pocket) my single cell 18650 light

You know , I can't tell you how much fun it is to think up new limericks . I've been having a blast !

The problem is , I'll bet people that use Google translate don't get the effect at all . It may even sound nonsensical . I should say , more nonsensical than it should .

And I'm sure it annoys some people , especially if it becomes a constant thing .

After all , this forum is about flashlights .

So I'm going to try to stop , or at least slow way down . But I have to tell you , it's so much fun .

( " I can stop anytime I want " he said .)

I voted "deep in pocket" because i always have a UF 501A (xpg r5 with KD driver at 1.52a with 16340 or 18340) in my pocket.

i also sometimes carry my intl outdoor c8 on a holster on my belt or clipped to my pocket.
