Lumintop GT micro

So, I am lead to assume that EBL and Vapcell are reputable brands?

Vapcells are outstanding cells. Always a top performer. I know a few people who have the EBL cells. They seem to be reliable at least. I don’t have them myself, so I can’t speak to their performance.

Hmm , thinking maybe a White Flat with a 3amp cell in the Micro

Vapcells are generally Highly Regarded.

I’ve got EBL 14500s and use them in pretty much anything that can take ’em.

Same experience here, I tested several different flat-tops. Some work, some may not.

The GT Micro uses a nipple on the positive side, so some flat-tops that are just “slightly raised” will make contact. But some really flat flat-top 14500’s may not make contact, using a small button magnet will workaround this issue.

Been trying to contact Lumintop for an RMA on this light so I can send it to them to get it replaced or repaired. No response from them at all. I bought this light on Amazon through Sino Trading Co, LTD. Had a bad switch right out of the gate. Inconsistent, sometimes requiring multiple clicks to turn off. Sometimes reverts to low beam all by itself. I was pretty bummed about it cause I loved the light but the switch had me pulling my hair out. Contacted Sino about it and at first they tried to downplay anything was wrong and then told me I had to pay to ship it back to China and then only IF they received it, I would get a refund. Was nervous about shipping it back to China and paying more money so didn’t do it. Figured I would try to deal straight with Lumintop but so far my complaints are falling on deaf ears. Does Lumintop even give a shit or do I just chalk this off to a bad day?

All my orders from China since January are still pending to being shipped, when usually it takes days, that being from BG, AE, AMZ, etc.. So, I'd say, just bad timing..

Mine also , still say`s 11 days to process . , BUT my K1 came in 8 days only …. thanks Hank !

Now all order are at 18 Days to shipment , just have to wait

The micro throws very close to the mini

I missed the bus at 26 so I just purchased it at 42 and change on Amazon, ouch! The good news is it will be here in two days. The bad news is my wife is going to kill me in my sleep when she wakes for also purchasing the FW1A Pro and the FT03 this week. Better sleep in the spare room with the door locked tonight.

i hope so , i cant believe how tiny it really is And i cant wait to recieve my Vapcells 10A to try it out

cheers

Still having problems with the button. It will always turn on but is really inconsistent with getting it to turn off. Been trying to get a hold of Lumintop for almost two months to get it fixed but they are not being cooperative. Their service regarding warranty work is just terrible. They might as well not even have a warranty cause it’s a joke. At least for me it has been.

KP 840's are pretty low power, pretty dated. They are the old SANYO 840's, been around since 2012 or even further back maybe? If the KP's are protected, even worse - the old PC was much more inefficient than the better ones available now. The 1000 mAh unprotected is probably the best all around, available under various labels.

I've used the SANYO's a lot way back, 5+ years. I even have the KP protected versions as well - definite high resistance comparatively.

I use efest purple 14500 cells in my Micro, and they work just fine. I don’t use it often enough to have a good feel for run times, but I have a total of four cells, and a Nitecore D2 sitting right next to the cells, so I don’t worry about it.

Does anyone know of any sales / coupon codes that bring it back down close to the $26 sales price? Would love one

I wish…

At first I thought it to be a limited-application light, but damn, I’m carrying it in my pantaloons even just going out in the backyard. E03 for close-in viewing, ’micro for owl-spotting. And nowhere near the bulk of a C8/P30/’mini/etc.

32 usd is the lowest atm

For small size throwers (and if I don’t need it for long runtime), for me it’s a toss-up with either the GT Micro or the Emisar D1 in 18350 tube format. Both are small, D1 in 18350 will be more ‘stocky’. Almost similar throw for GT Micro vs Emisar D1…

Hmm, odd. Tacked onto an order a pair of Vapcell 7A 14500s to try in lieu of the EBLs I’m running now. Doesn’t seem to be much if any difference.

There might be some difference/increase, numerically, but not (to me) visually. There’s enough of a pause between ceiling and turbo to see only a very faint increase in brightness (real or imagined) with both, despite the rather long “blink” between.

And comparing to a new EC4GT (approximately matching their respective brightnesses), there doesn’t seem to be any difference between the Vapcells and the EBLs.

Both cells were topped off to 4.20V right out of the Opus.

So… looks like I could get by fine with my generic EBLs?

i measured some of my cells
