GT mini Pro

Just a guess would be to (try to) smooth out a crappy corona, tint-shift, hole/cross, other nasty artifacts from the new chip if they’re introduced.

This light with a sliced XHP50.2 would be great IMO. Should be >3200 lumens and ~130kcd at 16A. Of course that is not thermally sustainable, but it would make a nice compact high output thrower.

For the record I have been using some 3V XHP50.2 from kaidomain. They are the 1D tint which they don’t carry anymore, but it turns out really nice when sliced. Nice neutral tint and a bit warmer than a Cree 3D. The corona is of course a bit greenish as you’d expect with the flip chip and side-phosphor, but to me it is not a big deal.

I wish a new BLF-GT MIDI, like the size of the Astrolux FT03.
With sbt 90.2 emitter would be awesome.

I like the ergonomics on mine. I have installed W2 in it and it’s much better than xpl hi.
But i’ll swap for W1 for more current/output.

W2 can get angry blue mortal color if IMR’s are used.

sbt90.2 in the ni40 is a little similar

yeah shame they just did a light not many care for…

Definitely leaves you wondering. I’m just really confused as to why they thought calling it a “pro” version was appropriate here.

’Cause “millennium edition” would be kinda dated?

Sounds like my kind of light.

Thanks for posting my pictures. The complete album is located at https://www.facebook.com/LumenMaxNJ/media_set?set=a.1051829191838554&type=3 .

From the surface, yes, the only changes are:

  • OP Reflector
  • XHP 50.2 domed. 3500 lumens max?
  • Slightly brighter lit button (crescent shaped)

I'll scan through the manuals to see what else is different. I'm working on a groupbuy for the Pro and will start a new thread if it pans out.

Do you know if the GT Mini Pro is a replacement for the GT Mini? I noticed that Lumintop’s Amazon store no longer lists the GT Mini, but still available on banggood.

I had a GTmini Vn with a white flat I believe. Gave to a friend’s dad
I believe it hit 300kcd….

Lumintop is losing their touch imo. They gained a lot of hype from the GT project but seems most of what they’ve released since has been “eh”.

shoulder shrug.

I’d like to see ’em revive the ED20-T.

I just grabbed a couple shortly before they were discontinued(?), and it’d be killer with something like a more neutral or even warmer CT and nice tint (eg, a LH351), just not some greenie like some/most SSTs. Whatever it’s got now (forgot), it’s not greenish even with AR-coated glass, which is a really nice surprise!

Unique switches and UI, quite nice. Just need to make the damned clip removable, as it gets in my way.

Truth is, it’s hard to distinguish yourself in a market like flashlights where so many are “me too!” designs.

Come to think of it, while my NW ’micro is really nice, even the CW ’micro I picked up later has a nice non-green tint.

Credit where credit’s due…

I would rather see them make a bigger version of gt mini but smaller then blf gt, like a 21700 version with 60-70mm head or something… look at the ft03 and its outstanding throw with the sst20…

I second that. Who would have the influence to talk to lumintop? I feel like a lot of people would be interested

BLF GT midi !

So less throw is more pro?

Apparently so, it’s more lumens but less throw. “Pro” to me would be better all around. Brighter, more lumens, higher candela, more throw etc……
