I’m not ordering simply out of protest for their MISHANDLING of this crisis. Given all their technology and CONTROL over everything… the virus shouldn’t have escaped their shores.
I wanted to include Kudzu but after research it appears our friends the Japanese helped us with that.
Apparently US farmers willingly planted that monster as a way to control erosion.
When the Wuhan coronavirus was still pretty new, I thought it would spread throughout the United States quickly as it has in China.
But cases in the U.S. have been spreading very slowly, so I'm not nearly as worried as a while ago.
Plus, although it has spread quickly in China, the mortality rate is pretty low compared to other similar diseases.
I bought into the media's scare tactics, and hopefully people who are in charge of things did also, and are taking this threat seriously so that it doesn't become a serious worldwide problem.
My guess is when he is talking about “Goods”, he is not talking about flashlights and other Non Consumable products. He is talking about Agricultural products associated with human consumption.
A lot of airline traffic on China has been suspended. KLM/Air France even until mid March. Most freight traffic is going on as usual. Not all pilots are happy about that. UPS has agreed that pilots who don’t want to fly to China, can express themselves and will be rescheduled to other destinations, if possible. If not possible, they will have to take a leave of absence.
As long as persons are (grace a dieu) NOT equipped wit on-line monitors, the numbers will increase in leaps. The number of infected people (known cases) is about 2^16. The first cases were about 2 months ago (ballpark). That’s 8 weeks. So until the measures have a serious effect, the total number can double every 3 to 4 days if an infected person infects 2 new people.
It’s not something linear, in 3 days 2 more, end of the week 4 more. It will be more like: in 3 days twice as much, in a week four times as much. Until the virus runs out of fresh people. That’s what happens in a quarantaine situation.
Pardon my rambling.
That Tencent story is BS. I can’t believe how many people believe false news so easily.
The official numbers from China match the reported numbers from other countries (same ratio).
Even if we disregard that, why would the government give two sets of numbers to some media that is supposed to only show what they allegedly want? Doesn’t make any sense
