*BLF LT1 Lantern Project) (updated Nov,17,2020)

Thanks they are button tops. I measured with multi meter and 3.57,3.58,3.58,3.59.

I popped them into my 3rd (got 4 in total) Lt1 and BattCheck gives consistent 3.5. Put them back into 2nd Lt1 and it now gives consistent 3.6.

Not sure why the slight discrepancy but at least it’s giving consistent reading now.

Thanks so much for the help!

I am happy if two different lights give a reading within a tenth of a volt.

My batch 2 LT1 under reports the voltage by 0.1v, it it charges perfectly to 4.2 so doesn’t really matter. Toy keeper said the voltage reading is commonly out by 0.1v on these driver chips, but as the charging chip is independent it doesn’t matter too much.

it just repeats the same reading it gets from the battery ring.

good to hear the issue is fixed, it was likely some false reading or connection, (as in the body not tightened enough to make a good continuity is one possible cause.

small update, O-ring size #135 Fits great, I installed one top and bottom. Imgur: The magic of the Internet

I ended up just super gluing the factory orange o-ring. Now it doesn’t move

One of my 3 reports 0.2V low.

ToyKeeper said I could tweak the code to correct this, but I’m passing. It was a gift for one of my sons, and I was delivering it in person a couple days after it arrived. I’m fine flashing the LT1 with compiled code, but I’m not ready to change code and recompile, then flash.

Yes thanks for the help.

Am I correct that you can charge it with up to 12V?

Yes.

Does anyone know if it is possible to change the speed of the flickering light in candle mode? I remember some one being able to do it.

I have not heard of this until this post.

It’s not easy to tell from the UI chart for Anduril, but try this: In Candle mode, Hold the button down. To slow it, Click, then Hold.

you can make the intensity higher or lower, but not change the speed of the flicker to faster or slower. Its one or the other. Faster/slower applies to the party strobe and tactical strobe.

In candle mode you can only adjust the brightness (same as in bike flasher), the faster/slower is for the 2 strobe modes.

My LT1 is on its way for review, it’ll be interesting to see if Muggle mode works on this Lantern.

I wrote a mod to Anduril to calibrate the voltage readings btw... Tested it, working so far on a Sofirn SP36. Works just like thermal cal - while you are blinking out the voltage, click 4 times, there's one config setting, click 1 to 10 where each click is 0.05V. So clicking 5 times sets the voltage fudge factor to 5, 5 is 0.25V, clicking 10 times sets the voltage fudge factor to 0.50V, etc. It saves the setting, just like temperature calibration, to eeprom.

sounds interesting!

Is it too late to get in on the group buy?

Hopefully I can get a coloured version.
