magnetic charging is imo alot better then usb charging, and light still can have ipx8 rating… i hate those rubber flaps its not very good really seal the light from dust and water…
Magnetic charging is not automatically more water resistant. For example this is how Olight flashlights are sealed at the charging contacts:
