So is it the concensus of the group that the company no longer exists or is the website inaccessible from the US or what is the deal exactly? I purchased an enogear AA/14500 stainless used and it is an amazing light! I wish I could order more, I paid double the original asking price for the light and I still think it's worth it.
You are correct. It is a great little light. There were a few issues with it. It seemed pretty hit and miss. Some had issues with it not working with AA’s after running LiIon’s in them. Or was it vice versa. I didn’t have any of those issues but I know some did.
You are right, Enogear is no longer around. The man behind Enogear is still around though, he is now the man behind FireFlies.
I emailed him some time ago to ask about any remaining Stainless AA’s. I didn’t get any response and I didn’t pursue it any further.
Thank you. I will renew my quest. I just figured he didn’t have any because of the lack of reply. I only sent one email. I am use to dealing with Chinese sellers and it seems keeping my email near the top of their inbox sometimes helps with getting a reply.
Thanks gentlemen! I appreciate the information and I'll give it a try for sure. What currently produced light would you say is closest to the enogear AA/14500?
I think it was an XP-G2. Jack, the owner of Enogear and Fireflies, prefer rosy tint so this emitter is likely the Cree 5A or 5D tint bin, which means negative DUV or below the BBL. This is one of the most rosy tinted emitter I’ve seen.
So the key here is to remember that particular tint bin, which is 5A-5D. Thank you for your help. I really do love the color of this emitter. I wonder what the cri is?
