IDK if that would be the same watch. The “Excalibur” as it’s called is in the Promaster line.
I love Helm’s styling but desperately want to see something slimmer from them. The Vanuatu dial is fantastic, and not as derivative of Sinn as some make it out to be IMO (if anything Sinn is using Doxa design language). Same tooly/retro-future feel as a couple that Dagaz offers.
Nice!
I really hope to own one of those Helm watches one day, maybe not that one - I have thought about it many times, but the import duty etc puts it that little bit too high for me.
I’m a lume fan, and they have plenty of it lol!
The “Duro” is such an amazing value. Can’t believe the level of finishing that comes on a $40 watch. If they released one with better lume and a bit smaller case it would dominate at even $80-100. There are different color version out now too!
+ Smaller than the full size G-Shocks and very comfortable to wear
Robust and cheap enough that no worries if it got damaged
Can be configured to illuminate when you turn your wrist
Large stopwatch digits, a key reason for selecting it
10 year battery life (claimed)
Easy to switch time zone
- When you switch time zone the alarm still has to be set in the home time zone
The silver bezel ring, would prefer matt finish
I am neutral about the data memory feature, no value for me
The other watch is a Rolex Submariner 16800 that my wife bought me 20+ years ago as an estate piece. Really love that watch although the luminescence doesn’t last long.
