Low Price for a Lumintop Tool 2.0 Ti?

Do it and then forgive yourself for a win.

Could not resist, ordered one as well.
Picture shows Ti so does the description say, but title says silver.
Probably alu, but still cheap.

(Since i am frugal, even chose the free shipping option, which is always a gamble)

Thank you! :person_facepalming: Ordered two.
Note the package it says PACKAGE TYPE Plain. It ’s likely to be without a box.

Better to cut off your flashlights than to be cast into Gehenna.

Good idea

Same pix, spex, etc., so I’m hopeful.

Even if Al, it’s shiny!

You really should do a video of the unboxing as well, in case you receive something else.

Yes, this thing runs hot, i was the one who experienced the LED wires came off during runtime testing.
Victor from Lumintop told me they are working on a new version with a copper head

So, arguably, the worst aspect of the Tool 2.0 is the LED. Having bought some of these ti ones, anybody have a good place to buy a nice emitter on a 14mm board to do a swap?

I have nice Nichia 219B 3500k sw35 d200 L2 r9080 to put in  Bought here.
Mike

Just ordered two. It runs fine on nimh right?

Just when I finally had a few bucks in my wallet, this offer comes around. Oh well, there is always next month.

Got a bit caught up in Firefox scripts, but finally managed to order one.
FWIW: in the description of the other AA Tools (black, grey, white) they weigh circa 25g.
The description of the silver one says it weighs 40g. And it has an illuminated tailcap.

Even if it’s “only” an aluminum light, it’s still a good buy for a modest €9.58.
Thanks or the heads up.

EDIT: about 4½ hours after thanking me for the order I got a second mail from FT.
Saying they can’t deliver the light (I already paid for) for the price we agreed upon.
Apparently they made a mistake and want me to pay more/extra for the light or get a refund.
I’ll have to think about that, but my first impulse is telling them we have a deal, and stick to it.

The 14mm board won’t fit straight, you will have to: a) reflow the lead into the original PCB, or modify the head itself.

Check this post to see the head structure and other aspects of this lights:

BTW, Luxeon V2 emitters will probably do a good job on this light!

I think there’s no cure for this condition we all have here. It spreads so easy with a few pecks of the keyboard.
I already own one of these, I told myself I don’t need another one. Had it in my cart, even though I wasn’t going to buy it and walked away to eat supper. After supper, I come back here to BLF and my condition kicked in. :smiling_imp:
Next thing I remeber is a Fasttech page saying “Thanks for your order” :person_facepalming:

Same, I broke lent

Cheap but the Aussie exchange is so low :frowning:

It come with bonus Corona virus hehehe

still biting the bullet as Im a fanatic of AA lights

That’s a familiar looking pic lol.

Edit, ordered another Ti and a grey one. :person_facepalming:

CRX is in

And a pretty one, as the others in the post
Thanks for taking them to document how the light is composed
Flashlight community benefits from that work for sure

About this light…I ain’t sure if I’ll go for it despite I love it!
