【convoy】H4 and B35AM options are updated

Same here. And requires me to re-login frequently. And pushes that slider often. Which is unreliable and fails with “please refresh the page” or simply fails to redirect where I wanted to go. Since I always open links in new tabs, I only discover it at the point where I don’t have the original link. :person_facepalming:
Seriously, Aliexpress is the worst shopping site that I ever used.

When the “Oops! Please slide to verify” screen appears, the link you are to open is in the address bar. So copy it, slide, paste and go. If you are chain opening links from a search page, and got many tabs stuck in the slide to verify screen, you just need to do what I said with the first tab; once you are verified just reload all the remaining stuck tabs. Problem solved.

I wonder if it’s worth Convoy having their own ecommerce setup. Various other Chinese manufacturers have done it. And smaller flashlight ecommerce operations that are all over this forum have set the bar pretty low. I was trying to link a friend to a Convoy light and ended up just using the Banggood page instead. Every single AE link still redirects to login instead of product page for me.

For me it seems about 50/50 but I got tired of it. I don’t really bother with AE anymore, I haven’t logged in for ages.

Product page direct links work again, but search and browse is now busted. :person_facepalming:
I wonder if active web development is happening on the production code. Anyway, this isn’t really Convoy related other than the validity of the links on page 1 of this thread, and they work again, so I’ll stop complaining.

Yeah AliExpress is so @#$% up, for some app related reason I started receiving order emails again. I already hit the unsubscribe link more than once, still @#$%. The Account Settings - Email Notifications section only has an enable and disable switch now (and I'm not sure if it works), whereas there were a lot more working options in the past.

I understand it is easy to blame on them, but I think it would be a lot more productive to file some well mannered complaints chatting with customer service.

Just used one of the new Biscotti drivers to build a photo red triple in an S12 host and it works great. This will come in very handy when I drag out my telescope!

where did you buy it? I didn’t know it was for sale yet

Anthon, this is answered in this very thread, here and there (the last message's comment is concerning the ∅20 and ∅22 mm drivers, check two posts above if in doubt).

I wonder, though, will the new “SST40” drivers work with bleeding resistors (lighted tailcaps)?

Small, important question:

Can the newer, Biscotti powered SST-40 linear drivers, work with bleeding resistors and lighted tailcaps?

I ask because of the hardware differences, of course.

It might be worth to try more relaxed settings for cookies and trackers blocking (don’t forget to return back if necessary).

For me it strictly depends if I wait 5-10 seconds after login page loading is complete (when all loading indicators disappear — not when login form just appears).

Might be obvious, but should mention as well: for any issues with Aliexpress check also your javascript/ad blockers (noscript, adblock, ublock, umatrix, …).

All of the mentioned helped me with various similar problems.

Is this the main S2+ thread?

Can anyone here share how to get the best price on a Convoy S2 or S2+? I’ll wait for a sale if need be if not too long a wait. I heard they can be as low as $10?

I’m not into modding or exotic requirements. Just quality product, which the S2 / S2+ I have seems to be (do different sellers on different website making these things on their own / quality can vary? Or they are just sellers?

I know of AliExpress, banggood and gearbest. Just get on their mailing lists to find out when there’s sales? Watch this thread?

You can look at this highlighted thread name in Recent Posts for deals on the S2+

My personal favorite is the one that has a blueish gray body with SST40 led and 5amp driver that can produce up to 1800 lumens when needed for a short period of time.

If you have no intention of changing parts in the S2+ you buy then the purple, cyan and orange S2+ with 7135*8 soldered in driver for $10.80 are great buys.

BangGood & Fin17 Special Deals

Oh! I was so excited. i went to that page. but the 10.80 listed on the front page was from 2018? they are back to 14 - 15 each now? Gotta just watch that page too I guess?

Deals come and go.

I really should pull the trigger on my cart on AE instead of it sitting there, sigh.

Hi Simon, I’m just curious. Have you stopped producing the earlier version of the linear driver with customizable modes?

If so, how many do you have left in stock? I like this driver and have an urge to hoard them if they will become unavailable.

I’d just love to get a flashing kit for the 17mm 5A one! Would be good to try and write custom firmware.

I just built an S2+ with the new biscotti 5 amp driver.

Amazingly it appears to work with a lighted tailcap. No problems changing modes or using the programming function.

Good stuff!

That sounds good. What else is in your custom S2+ build?
