Just scored Titanium Innovations Mega Illuminator $39.99 HID

Being part pet coon (gotta mess with everything especially shiny stuff) and not being able to contain my fixin skills (find my good hammer, the old Estwing). Should have it working in no time or do a BAD@SS mod like FlashPilot 100w HID. http://www.ebay.com/itm/350558631441?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

you lucky b@#$!, I check there site like once a week, never saw that.

looking foward to the mod.

pm if you need a heatsink

Nice score. Those things are crazy, played around with one once ~2 years ago.

Nice!

Good job.

interesting lighter

Do note that there is no space for 100W big ballasts. Only the slim ballasts.

I'll keep that in mind. Mr2100 what would be the biggest improvement for the least amount of money on this HID? Your input is greatly respected. Sincerely, Willie

Hi Willie, just get a 55W ballast. They are pretty cheap. Don't have to change the bulb.

Update. It came. It is friggin MASSIVE. The thing is 16inches/40cm long and outside diameter of reflector housing is 11”/28cm. Reflector is roughly 9”/23cm. Trouble shooting . SLA battery was bad beyond DEAD. Pulled the 12v lighter plug went to the car and plugged it in, there was light and it was good at 2pm in the afternoon. A quick net search and a replacement UB1280F2 12v8ah battery was 2 miles away and $20 down the road. Installed the new battery and plugged in the 110v plug in the wall and it was charging. Checked about two hours later and a green light. Did my chores around the house and at 9PM took Mega, PT120 green, Fannyfire V2 and one of the dogs to the backyard. There is a school about 350yds/320m away. This thing is a spotlight. Spanks my PT120. Played with it for about 10 minutes. This is not your urban flashlight. Talked with a fellow worker and he offered me a 55w HID auto kit that one of the bulb/ballast is broken for free. Thanks for the tip Mr2100. This a budget forum and my total investment is less than $75 for my HID spotlight.

NICE! what a deal...

I know what you mean about not an urban light. I can't play with my autozone ~9" reflectored incan around home, someone will end up calling the cops lol.

get yourself a float charger and you're all set ;)
