A 14650 LiIon battery, this is AA cell in diameter, but as long as a 18650 cell.

The two batteries matches well and keep the capacity first starts dropping above 3A.

Conclusion

It is a unusual size, the extra size gives it a slightly more capacity than 14500 cells.

Thanks HKJ!

14650? Whaaaaaat? Interesting, but is there an application for such a battery? I would doubt it would get created if there wasn’t a use for it, but these odd battery sizes have me scratching my head sometimes.

I can remember having seen cells this size before. These TrustFire 14650 1600mAh and (discontinued) IMR 14650 950mAh are examples and feature the same anode geometric shape as this newer cell, this means it is manufactured by the same OEM (Heter). The bloated 1600mAh capacity cell appears in the official TrustFire website.

Applications? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Thanks for the review Henrik.
