Latest release Vapcell 21700 5600mah 12.5A battery

I asked him also but he’s all into vaping and don’t care much about this tiny cells. He did order them anyhow just for fun

I’ll jump to that link as soon as i land.

Ordered purple 14500 10A but received gold 3A after 8-9 weeks and now they want me to cancel ali express dispute though no stock!

Then I see here no 10A stock until May!!!

Nit happy, Jan!

I’m sincerely sorry. Maybe the packing staff in the warehouse is too busy and confused with the battery

The warehouse is sold out. Only my office has 1pc H10 battery,

It is not expected to arrive again until May

Now the virus has affected the production progress

I hope everyone is well

Please apply for a refund

Then our gold 14500 is also good, you can try it

Expected in May :weary:

G50 seems like a 21700 version of the PLB 55A.

Bummer :frowning:
Is there any other place with stock?

nkon.nl

Thanks! :+1:

However it is not worth it!
I would pay more for shipping than for the batteries themselves :person_facepalming:

The Vapcell H10 is a monster! It is both a high drain and high capacity cell, which is just incredible! It even managed to beat the Shockli and Windyfire which was the previous 14500 amp king. Hope to see more flashlights that can take advantage of the high current. Both button top and flat top version outputs the same.

The Vapcell L10 is the highest capacity 14500 in existence. Output is equal to the previous Vapcell 1000mah gold.

The former 14500 king Shockli 1000mah just lost the throne but it is still an excellent high current and high capacity cell and besides these two flashlights, you won’t see any output difference vs the Vapcell H10.

Seems like the Orbtronic uses the same cell as the Vapcell gold and that they used an extremely high quality protection circuit because the output on the X5 is about the same between the Orbtronic and Vapcell. These two cells still have their uses because in lower power regulated lights, you won’t gain any lumens by using high drain cells and the Vapcell gold and Orbtronic is still the highest capacity 14500 by a small margin in low amp modes that would give you a bit more run time.

I recently ordered just one H10 from nkon (among other stuff), just to test it. I hope flashlight manufacturers start paying attention to the 14500 category now. Having a very small and powerful light in your pocket is really nice.

NKON's shipping quotes are relatively high because they use courier services. A couple years ago, though, I could see shipping quotes as low as €5 to Spain “flat rate”, because I could select an option called “pickup at Correos office” (Correos is Spain's postal service). If I were you, I would send a message to NKON and ask them to arrange some affordable postal service shipping options for small orders. From my part you can also tell them “the old site was better”.

I updated my post above to include the Vapcell L10 14500.

Thanks so much for your data
It will be useful to chose some other cells too, even if I’ll wait for the H10!!

@ MoreLumens, I will never forget that I paid 27€ for 3 modified Sanyo GA cells, being more than half of that value for shipping :zipper_mouth_face:

Mooch posted his test results

Mooch's review at ECF: Bench Test Results: Vapcell H10 – 10A 1000mAh 14500...slightly overrated capacity

According to Mooch's figures the actual manufacturer capacity rating (0.2C down to 2.5 V) for this cell seems to be 950 mAh.

Can't say I love the discharge curves of these newer chemistries, don't like them in fact. I understand they are made that way to make the life of any capacity measuring electronics easier, but otherwise it is a drawback high power / high discharge wise. Best curves are flatter or flat with sharp drops once finished in this regard. If battery state of charge is so important to know, other methods could be devised and built into the very cells or batteries.

950mah would be a more realistic rating since my measurements average just a bit higher. But I see no problem with the curve. For a tiny 14500 cell, being able to maintain the curve shown in Mooch at a whooping 10A is previously unimaginable. All batteries, even high capacity larger cells have a similar dropping curve like that.

Tested the Vapcell 26650 4200mah and got this:
4,474mah and 4,361mah

In comparison the Golisi 4300mah, which is a rewrap of the same YDL cell, measures:
4242mah and 4,146mah

Tested output in a Copper MF01 Mini SST-20 4000K with UCL lens at 2s:

Vapcell 4,474mah battery: got 4,410 lumens
Vapcell 4,361mah battery: got 4,480 lumens
Golisi measured 4,362 lumens

See here for past test results on the MF01 Mini

Vapcell got the best batch of the 26650 YDL cells compared to the competition, which is consistent with Mooch’s test results.

Also measured the following from my March 2020 order:

Vapcell LG M50 5000mah and got 5,044mah. The previous one I bought a year ago measured 4,964mah

Vapcell Samsung 40T Gold and got 4,262mah. I bought the same 40T from Vapcell twice (forgot the dates) and the measurmenet was 4,038 first batch, and 4,101 and 4,156mah the 2nd batch. I’m not sure if it is due to Samsung improving their process or Vapcell got lucky with a really good batch. At 4,262 mah, I would love to see a comparison between this and the Molicel P42A, which is supposed to beat the 40T when tested by Mooch a while ago.

I also bought 4 Vapcell Samung 50G that is supposed to be 15A 5000mah. These are wrapped in a gray wrapper with no description because Vapcell just received them and haven’t designed a wrapper yet. I was super excited to test these but very disappointed to find out they are recessed top like the Tesla 5000mah :person_facepalming: and not flat top so my charger cannot charge them. The ones I receive looks nothing like the gold wrapped flat top version in the OP so I’m wondering if the ones I got are even the 50G. I hope it is a mistake because recessed tops will not work in some flashlights also and a waste of the supposedly highest current 5000mah on the market.

Recessed top… what's the point I wonder. Pictures? What metal or conductive material is the top made of? Hope it is not aluminum, but if those cells are built to “Tesla spec” then it will.

Never posted a pic on BLF and not intending to learn how to do so for the time being. Maybe Vapcell can take a few pics of the actual wrapped 50G and post it here so we know for sure how it looks like before people buy. Would suck to buy it and not be able to use it in our chargers and flashlights like in my case :frowning:
