A thing to point out for BanL, is that Simon Mao (from the Convoy store) has ∅9 mm gaskets for 3030 emitters listed in his shop: Gasket suitable for 3030 LED and 9mm reflector hole. Simon may also be interested in ∅7 mm gaskets for 3030 emitters.

Given how item information is presented in KD’s page, where only a part of the description is shown under the item’s picture (see miscellaneous parts, for example), it would be a lot more useful to list gaskets using a different description format. People looking for gaskets mainly look for “a emitter size and/or type gasket for reflector hole diameter”, and so this information should be at the beginning of every gasket description, in my opinion. Item descriptions seem to be limited to 50 useful characters, I have just checked and any long item descriptions measures exactly 52 characters long, including two dots at the end. This way, the description of the above gaskets, which right now looks like

10mm(D) x 0.8mm(T) White Plastic Insulation Gasket…

would, for example, instead say

3030 Osram gaskets for 7mm reflector hole, 10mm(D)…

It is a lot faster to find suitable gaskets this way, and this translates into a better shopping experience in my honest opinion. The character set in the descriptions, though, has something to do with AliExpress.

Crap you are right!!! I looked under the optic and it’s actually the SST-20 3000K! It got swapped around with the XP-G3’s container. I edited my post above to correct the error.

What you think about tint qualithy of the XP-G3 8A3 compared to sst20 3000k
Thought 8A was around 2800k instead of 3200k on your measures

I put them away already but from what I remember the XP-G3 has a more noticeable corona and tint shift so I think I recall the SST-20 looks better.

Wellp, I see people often complains about this tint preference thing, and over time I've come to conclude that it really doesn't bothers me much. I prefer close to BBL tints, and certainly don't complain at all seeing the light from my LH351D 4000K CRI90+ flashlights which technically is slightly greenish.

My advice is try one, what can I say. O:)

As options to choose from are orange peel or smooth reflector, and body colors in black, desert sand and purple. Would love to see photographs of the latter two.

HB4 is above the BBL so the DUV is positive.

Yes that S3 21700 looks gorgeous, in my honest opinion. I got an S21A host weeks ago, and honestly as much as I like that S3 it will have to wait for now. :((

I tested tint of the new batch of KD’s 2700K SST-20 leds, claimed JA3, that came in today.

Kaidomain’s previous batch was JC1, which should have been just above the BBL, I tested the tint here: KD (kaidomain): Deals and new products thread - #1222 by djozz , and, at ~400mA, from above and at 60 degrees the tint was under the BBL, just in the hotspot from a OP reflector it came very slightly above the BBL.

This evening I did the same tint test on the new claimed JA3, which should be under the BBL, and all three tints: straight above the led, at 60 degrees and in the hotspot of an OP reflector, measured almost exactly as the previous batch of claimed JC1 bin.

Also visually I can not tell the “JA3” led tint apart from the “JC1” tint.

This is an extremely nice led if you like 2700K light, nothing bad about that, but this is not good for trusting tint bins that are offered by Kaidomain, no matter where the problem is, at KD or at Luminus. Apparently everything must be checked, which costs money and time.

I bought 7 of these, if I had known that they were the same as the previous batch I would not have bought them, as I still have a few of the previous batch leftover.

Who know if they are real JA3 Bin now?

You can get some from Fireflies, they have real JA3, I asked him to sell me some in a custom order. I think I recall Emisar has some JA3 bin too. You can try asking Hank. Both of them are reliable when it comes to binning because they actually test their emitters unlike KD that just source them but don’t/can’t verify.

Yes contact him through PM. It normally takes a few days and sometimes even weeks for him to respond because he doesn’t check very often. It’s the same with emailing.

But it is worth the wait because his JA3 are very nice. I posted measurements in the E07 thread.

Is there any chance you would be able to source a more neutral white XHP50.2 3V like 2D or 3A? Below BBL (A or D) would be perfect.

The 2A looks nice neutral white when dedomed. 1C might be too cold for me.
