[Review] Convoy M21C ( XHP70.2, 1 x 21700) - Excellent performance and regulation # Outdoor beamshots included

No apologies needed! Thank you!

Is the driver a secret that you cannot post photos of other than the one of it inside the head.

The driver is the heart of the light so info about it is important for full review.

We like pictures!

FWIW the TC20 is much less throwy based on the beamshots here and the size of the reflector.

I second that.

This light has me interested. It’s about time we had more lights using decent switching drivers from good-quality manufacturers like Convoy.

It would be nice to see more photos of the driver, though I’m going to guess from the specs and testing that it’s using the tried and tested TPS61088 .

Would also like to see an OP reflector version. I’m usually an e-switch guy, might drill one of these for a side switch…

ok ,i will produce OP reflectors

How does this compare to an L6?

Would this be a good SBT90 host?

Thank you, I will definitely buy a few when the OP reflector version is available.

Thanks for listening to feedback from enthusiasts and customers.

not brighter as L6,and the diameter of the reflector is a little small ,so the beam is more floody.
The reason I have not used SBT90 is that the brightness is low and the price is very expensive

Nice… thanks.

Simon, is Convoy M21C xhp70.2 with Biscotti firmware ?

I was going to ask if it came with Biscotti software? Simon told me it’s not available as yet

the 12groups driver (biscotti-copy) is in production .
Need about one month

4 modes are 0.1% –3% –30% –100% or 1% –10% –40% –100% ?

What type of price range do we think the Biscotti version will have?

Great review. Love the regulation tests. I wonder if the Convoy M3 uses the same driver.

Ευχαριστώ

WOW! I want XHP70 22mm boost driver (1S battery configuration) with Biscuit firmware!

Simon,
Is there any plan to use the XHP70.2 in the Convoy L21A (which as you know is another light that uses one 21700 cell)? The L21A has a larger head so I assume a larger reflector, but it appears to only be available with the SST40 or XHP35 HI.

Also, can your standard 4-mode (0.1–3–30–100) driver be mated with the XHP70.2 — in either the M21C or L21A? If so, could we still expect about a 4000 lumen output at 100% (like the current driver in this review)?
