Holster for GT Micro

Any suggestions as to a good belt holster for a Lumintop GT Micro. I really want to start carrying mine as an EDC, but it just doesn’t fit well in a jeans pocket.

Not really. I’ve got a variety of holsters in lots of sizes, and nothing’s a good fit.

Most for 18650 lights will be way too wide and too long, unless they’re stretchy and you wedge the ’micro waaaaaay down in there.

Those for 14500 lights will be about the right length and width, but the head of the ’micro is just too wide and you’ll have a hard time getting the flap over it and have enough velcro left to stick it shut, again, unless you really wedge the light down in there tight.

That said, the best one I got is a Jetbeam holster, the smallest one (for 14500s). Fasttech used to sell them, but they’re long since discontinued.

I was looking at some of M4D M4X’s deals at Nealsgadgets, and found that he carries holsters for both the Mini and the Micro, so I ordered one for my Mini. I didn’t find the Micro holster until after I had completed my order, so I would have had to start a separate order for the Micro holster, but I won’t pay $8 to ship a $5 part. The Mini and the Micro aren’t all that much different in size, and I don’t think I will have any problems EDCing the Mini on my belt.

I’m using Sofirn holster, size small. Torch fits snug and is very secure.

NiteIze holster is fit most, and can be swiveled for hands free operation.

HomeDepot. Lowe’s. Sports stores.

I have made several holsters myself and anything is basically possible ...... your own creativity is limitless .....

What I basically do is take a plastic bottle an cut the bottom off, will becom top of holster, and shorten the neck of the bottle for tactical use and facilitate the front end of the light ..... so the light can be switched on and used in the holster ! (top down).

Then I apply leather on both in-/out-side to make it extremely sturdy.

And last but not least a matter of fixation is included to keep the light protected and secured in the holster.

The clip for the belt can be created in several ways but usually it's part of the leather applied to the outside of the bottle.

This method probably sounds elaborate and it is but I don't mind .... each holster, not counting problems, will take me at least 5 hours or so ...... but way more than 10 is not unusual .....

Wenn a thick leather is used it's possible to leave out the plastic bottle but with the plastic bottle it becomes extremely sturdy ... due to the multi layer effect ... similar like carbon fiber.

The problem with all those ready made holsters ist that they do not have a fixed form making it necessary to use 2 hands for insertion and they also almost allways have velcro which will wear faster than the holster itself ....

Cheers,

Martin

I have the astrolux S42 holster I think it is, good fit. The convoy S2 holster is a little big but offers much better protection.
