What is Your Favorite 1xAAA Light?

I don’t really have a favourite in the AAA section, but this one is in my watchpocket for weeks now.

And now that I carry it lens up, I never have accidental activations anymore.

very nicely textured photo

thought it was a brass Tool, til I noticed the ring in the head…
curious about the rose colored lens?

thanks for the counter intuitive, no false activation tip

obligatory favorite

It has a 3000k sst-20 with a Lee zircon minus green filter.

Seemingly by my very amateur runtime test. There could have been slight variances in batteries as I don’t have an analyzing charger to find out. I don’t know why it was able to run longer than the tool AAA since they to have the exact same LEGO-able head and same emitter—not sure about the internals though. I would be interested in seeing other runtime graphs.

Strange… It does not look anything close to brass on my computer. Maybe you should calibrate your monitor or remove those sunglasses?

I don’t know how many people still want C01 with 5mm HCRI led

With a BLFer’s help, I have the resource of another 5mm HCRI led which seems to be great too.

But I don’t know if you want it again.

The 5mm led has two options 3400K and 5800K. The body color of C01 can be Black, Red, Blue, DesertTan, Green, Orange, Bare-Aluminum

Maybe it can be 5000pcs in total. It can be fulfilled if only there are enough interests.

I believe there is still strong interest for both CCT.

it would be helpful to know the R9 and DUV, of the new LEDs compared to the Yuji, which are some of the best in tint and CRI. I also really like the beam they produce

you made a lot of people happy with those, I think you could do it again if the new LED is similar in tint, cri, and beam …

btw, I am a strong proponent of NOT polishing the reflector, I prefer the Original C01 beam that had NO hotspot…

If you are familiar with 47s, only their 1st (and possibly 2nd) generation Preon P1s will accommodate the 10440. Check for voltage range in specs if able. And be mindful of overheating. Use on high briefly. Sorry for my slow response - I’ve been away for awhile.

The C01 is my favorite AAA flashlight. The light is gentle, pretty, and just right for cozy night time activities. Pairing what it does with how long it lasts on an Eneloop makes it the most valuable flashlight in my collection.

I got a few of the original run. When the colored ones came out, I ordered a bunch only to have them lost in the mail. Unfortunately, it was too late by the time I found out. I had missed my opportunity to stock up. :frowning:

If the new 3400K version is close to how good the original Yuji version was, I’ll buy a few. Getting them with a green body would be incredible. Green is my favorite body color when I can get it.

Same. The green they used on SP40 is a good choice. I want that for C01.

I alternate between C01 and Thrunite Ti3 with 219b for small pocket carry.

I’d be happy to order a few of the 3400K versions - when I tried ordering the warm Yuji ones, they ended up lost in the mail and by the time I was offered a replacement, only the 5700K versions were left!

I’d say the demand is definitely there. People bought them up quick, and in large quantities. I think the fact that they come up for sale so rarely shows how sought after they are. I’ve seen 6 for sale, and bought 5 of them. Only missed out on one cause I was too busy that day to check the site. Only reason I have been able to get one of each color, in each CCT was because I convinced one of the 5 sellers I bought from to sell me another color.

I can’t imagine that these would not sell well again, they were so well liked and well received. Add in some new anodization colors and you give people who have already purchased a reason to buy more. Hell its been this long and I still can’t even find a duplicate of any of the old colors!

To fit the theme of the thread and stay on topic, here are two of my current favorites. Much like the C01, the Peak is single mode, which is my favorite for AAA twisties

I’d probably buy a few more c01 lights with the new led. Especially if it’s slightly more focused than the yuji models. And/or if the ano is HA.

I’m still digging the Glaree E03 twisty. Superlightweight, and a nice purty blue (black is okay, too). Simple, stoopit, works. Nothing to screw up.

Other extreme is the Oilight i3UV in that tres kewl olive-green. Much beefier/heavier, really like the ring-hole at the center of the tailcap vs etched into the side or wherever. If only they made that light but with a 4000K-4500K emitter, in the same green color…

Got Tool AAAs, Wuben E01s, Ultratac A7s, etc., and they’re freakish giants of the AAA world. At least a full head higher than the i3 and especially (Glaree) E03.

Depending on the price I could see buying a few more C01s (that is plural C01, not C01S, although one or two more of those would be nice as well.). More body colors would be great, since I have three grandsons and that would be a great way to keep them straight.

How hard would it be to offer as an option a pre-installed magnet? I like the one C01 I have with a magnet, but one has to buy so many magnets to get the one or two needed. They do make nice refrigerator magnets too, but still, how many frig magnets can one use?

So I’m guessing you prefer twisty flashlights for the more compact size?

I almost always carry an 18650 light (MH20) on me, and have others in my bag.

AAA lights for me are best as zipper-pulls and the like. Or as a last-resort backup light, or for lending to someone on the spot, etc. Runtime is way too limited, moreso if the light has any oomf (and would refuse to even start up vs a less high-strung AAA light).

But they have their purposes…

Not green but tan:

:person_with_crown:

I love this green, too, but it’s called i3UV.

I like AAA flashlights for low light applications. For instance, the C01 is the perfect amount of light for an extremely long run time in this size category. I have AAA lights with higher modes that I rarely use. I like Lightbringer’s idea of using them as zipper pulls and such. They can be nice on a key ring too.

I almost always have an AA flashlight on me. That’s my default size for EDC. I recently got into the world of 18650. It’s very exciting but a little big for summer EDC. Once I get the right optic installed, I imagine that the Convoy S2+ will start seeing EDC time during jacket weather.

You carry 18650 in your pocket?
