Is banggood a legit business?

It’s 6-8 weeks without covid

It’s a huge retailer in communist country. It will take as long at it takes to get to you. Order it, forget you ordered it, be surprised when shows up. It’s like Xmas every few months. Pay with PayPal, if it ever hits 90 days just file a claim. Now if you get a defective or broken item and you file a claim with PayPal be prepared to lose. BG will tell you to send it back and they will happily replace it. Then you go to the post office to send it back and find out it cost $30 to send back your item. If you have a broken item it’s better to talk to BG first before you get PayPal involved. Make your messages to them as simple and to the point as possible. The language barrier sometimes will trip them and you up if the message you send them is long winded and full of non essential information. Ya know, like you are really disappointed or “I really wanted this light for a burglary we are about to do”. They don’t care, they just want to know the problem to fix.

I have only had a few problems with a few lights. Everything was taken care of and I was happy with the results. You will drive yourself crazy trying to keep up with their lack of tracking. This isn’t Amazon so be prepared to wait. If you can’t wait you can usually find stuff stateside for quite a bit more dollars. Sellers on ebay will gladly take your money, and a lot of it, if you can’t wait. You have only been waiting a month. That’s just the way it is. It will come as long as it was in stock. I never buy anything that has 3 days or more of processing time. I wait till it’s 24 hr processing time.

Patience my friend.

Yes, they are legit! I have not had any issues with them besides taking too long for my items to arrive.

My only issue with BG is that their predicted processing times appear fabricated. In-stock items that claim “3 day processing” will not be processed/shipped until weeks later. It’s a pretty minor problem among the range of problems that can occur when ordering from overseas.

.
My experience also. I have ordered many things including flashlights from them with no problems, except a Haikelite MT09R that I never received. 4 to 6 weeks wait for US deliveries if it is in stock. If not in stock, it may take 6 to 8 months to restock if your lucky. AliExpress, FastTech, and Banggood all are very slow to deliver normally. The flashlight things we want can only be purchased at a few places, so we are required to be patient and take whats available.

Just happened today…! Original purchase made on March 15, when received I got an empty box… Long story short, after beating around the bush with many emails…they finally offered refund or reshipment… I wanted the light so choose to reship… They then delayed the shipping another 8 days… I then asked for refund, then got an email saying sorry for delay can’t refund now order being shipped…Several weeks later, “TODAY” I got another JETBEAM M2S EMPTY BOX! I’m done with BANGGOOD! Now to try and get my money back… :person_facepalming: I took a video of opening this time… FedEx guy threw it to me… Light as a feather I knew right away it was empty… Very upset!

Did you use PayPal ?

Hmm, maybe they sent you an MT2S by mistake?

HAHA… MT=Empty… That’s a good one! Yeah, unfortunately that’s exactly what I got…again…!

Absolutely… and I’ll be filing a claim immediately if they give me the run around again… Although I think it will be hard for them to do this time, with a package opening video of an empty box… What boggles my mind is that it shipped out at the same weight as my last one… I specifically asked if they can make sure the item ships out at the suggested weight and someone internally must be stealing… When I seen the same weight I said to myself “you gotta be kidding me…!” I then thought, well maybe there not sending me the box this time and that’s what the light weights… Then I’m thinking now watch this just be the light and no battery. Just ridiculous… Worst part is BANGGOOD is the only place selling this light…

Wellp, people at first thought I was nuts when I suggested videoing The Grand Unboxing, just in case you got 5 doodads instead of the 6 you ordered, etc.

Guess enough people got burned that it wasn’t that bad an idea after all.

In my opinion, they will always screw you. PayPal will always find Banggood in the right and no matter what you do, they will screw you. AliExpress is more balanced and if you have an issue they generally take care of it. I once bought a flashlight from Banggood and it was defective from the factory. They initially said they would replace it, weeks later after I heard nothing and they ignored my emails, I filed a PayPal claim. The CS berated me and also the forum user here named Banggood. They said I deserved a lack of customer service because I dared to file a PayPal claim, and what do you know, PayPal sides with them. PayPal wanted me to send the flashlight back to China with tracking, at a cost of $115 with USPS for a $85 flashlight. Here is what the Banggood user on this forum sent me.

“ Hello,

I checked the E-mails between you and our CS, they promised to send you a replacement head but you didn’t agree to cancel Paypal claim, so they didn’t send the head to you, i think you should contact us to ask for help first next time if you have some after sale problem, we will give you the best solution, thank you.”

Obviously they ignored the fact I tried to resolve it with them at first and of course I didn’t want to cancel my PayPal claim, because once you do, there is no recourse.

’thats why u should never buy expensive lights really from banggood… 50$ or so is my limit now…

yes
slow and untrackable shipping is a feature of cheap chinese stuff

i like aliexpress better
they will refund cheerfully if things are slow or broken or almost any reason
they give you the money back then they deal with the actual vendor and you do not have to worry about it
other than waiting 2 months sometimes for the thing and still not having it come

i have ordered probably 200 things from them, 10-20 from fasttech, banggood
99% of them have come

most of them are ok for the price

I came to know about Banggood through BLF forum. I bought around 4 flashlight, charger and batteries. I experienced some delay in shipment, item not available message after few days etc. But I never faced issue like missing item. Also my experience with customer service also good enough.
I did purchase from USA and also requested one delivery to India. Compared to US, India custom clearance is not easy. But banggood had experience it seems. They have clearly specified item details on the package itself, so that it got cleared in customs without any issue. So in my opinion, they are legit but shipment takes time. Anyhow my purchase history far low than others in the forum. I just want to share my experience.

I’ll say they are legit, most if not all my Imalent lights as well as my astrolux are from banggood and all arrived without issues including 2 variants of the MS18 one in ww and cw. Items that take to long or far past the estimated shipment day etc etc have been refunded without much issue without having to dispute.

All in all my experience with banggood have been positive.

Banggood is 3 out of 6 for successful orders for me, and 50% chance of getting what I ordered after 4-8 weeks is just not worth it to me. Not a fan at all.

Yes they are legit. I’ve made many dozens of orders from them. There has been several times where they don’t actually have the item in stock. They automatically refunded in a few months. Otherwise expect a month or more for shipping if you choose free shipping.
