I ordered an LED bedroom light and one part of the threads are damaged. They won’t refund me…
it may be a dumb question, but I have no idea where else to ask… could I fix the threads on the lightbulb? I’d rather try, since I’ll be tossing it out anyways…

Because I spent $25 on it and they won’t refund it… their saying it’s been 30 days since the order so they can’t, even though I received it this morning.
I used my credit card, they won’t refund me… ive tried… thank you tho I just wanted to know if was even worth a shot since it cost me almost $30, I’m not worried about breaking it either
you could try just grinding off all the bent parts, there is probably enough other thread left to catch and hold the socket.
Dispute with CC rather than vendor
First, who’s “they”? damagedlightbulbs.com?
Second, the CC would be pretty crappy if you explain you just got the package (tracking #?) and the bulb’s so damaged, and they still won’t do a chargeback.
Third, yeah, you can probably dremel off the crushed threads as little as possible. Oddly, where they’re crushed, you can probably crush/flatten them some more to clear the threads of the socket.
You payed an awful lot of money for just one (damaged) bulb.
Shipping was slow, and so the warranty has expired?
I would advise NOT to try to bend something more/further in order to make it fit.
I mean: one bulb looks quite harmless. But there is also the fixture to consider.
And that is part of your house. If something bad happens, you might not be insured.
If it’s a company from far-far-away, they probably won’t give a d*,
but if it is a US company, I would start some sort of “charme offensive” on social media.
Hoping they will sort it out in order to get some rest and peace.

It cost $25 because it’s a Bluetooth LED light with a remote. The cc won’t refund me. I got it as a gift for my younger brother but it came damaged. I ordered a new light, i just didn’t want to throw it away without trying something.

I got it as a gift but it came damaged and the company won’t reply to me and the cc can’t do anything. The bulb was just goona go in a crappy lamp anyways just for a small bedroom light
The damage looks pretty bad. I don’t think you can grind or file the damage out since those screw threads are probably thin sheet metal. It’s probably toast.
That said, since it’s probably toast anyways, you might as well try disassembling it. If you can manage to remove the screw threads perhaps you can replace them with new threads from the cheapest available light bulb.
You usually have 60-90 days to file a dispute. “we can’t do anything” doesn’t sounds like a proper answer… at the least a process should be started and then later denied.
I’m not going to say i’ve had a crazy number of damaged goods to dispute but i’ve buying things online for 20 years now and haven’t lost a cent paying for something defective/damaged.

I wondered about the price too until you explained it being a Smart LED bulb. Too bad you picked a really crappy seller. Here in the US you can buy a similar bulb “Wifi Smart LED light Bulb 11W RGBW Dimmable for Alexa/Google Home Voice Control” with domestic shipping and have it in about a week for $16. I would try to rebend the metal, first, and then try filing it if that fails.
Then do NOT screw it into a permanent fixture as you may never get it out again.
Instead look for a “bulb extender” at the hardware store — it’s just a female socket on one side of a short tube and a male thread on the other end.
You can force the bulb into that and may well jam it, but it won’t end up stuck in a fixture socket.
