What features are you looking for in future lights? What would you like to see more of?

Sustained turbo mode. High CRI.
USB-C charging and firmware flashing

Tint ramping of Sofirn IF25 in FW4* / Emisar D4.

Nichia Tunable led Imagine having every tint (2700k to 6500k, 90+ CRI) from just a single emitter

Biscotti/Bistro/Anduril boost drivers that will fit in AA and AAA lights.

Anduril support for RGB leds (like the old Dr. Jones RGB driver )

USB-C charging

1. digital battery charge gauge that can be turned off.
2. ASCOB (from Westminster Dog Show).
3. free shipping.

A 300mm reflector will almost get that itch, scratched. :smiling_imp:

ive just put aux leds GTID etc

for the form factory i will buyis the lumintop fw3-fw21 pro (max size)

ive seen a little nitecore light with lcd screen and it looks so interesting, but the light is square, not sure if i love the style, maybe it could grow on me and ill order one

but the form factor that i love wouldnt take wifi , touch screen or make my coffee either
so for me

aux leds and gaskets!

  • Wavien collars
  • Double-action switches (differentiating between weak and strong press)
  • Zooming LEP
  • Type C, USB-PD powerbank integrated with flashlight

Adjust / upload firmware wireless

Ooooh this has turned up to be interesting - I did think about adding more options, but though t it would be too much. Keep the ideas coming in here though hopefully now and again a flashlight manufacturer will look in!

Integration in my hue home lighting. Aux lights signaling when the motion detectors in my garden detect something.

The best flashlight is spoiled if one dislikes using it. So, I’d like to see more lights with a good UI.

Direct to moon, direct to turbo, moon and turbo not in regular mode set, low follows moon. Sounds like Olight. Even better is a MCR. And that’s my answer: I want to see all sorts of lights equipped with a MCR. The lesser the additional space used for it the better.

More GITD options. I’d like to see “faux trits”, tiny tubular LED’s installed like trits. Of course, it would mean a path through the body for the wiring but as long as it’s potted that should be fine. Mini LCD display. So many variations are out now. I think they should be able to come up with a better symbolic lexicon to minimize letters. Remove language from the equation, just numbers & symbols. Battery voltage, estimated mAh, temperature, setting indicators, charging indicators, low batt…

Magnetic card reader?

Might be a bit cumbersome, though. Swipe for turbo?

I like to carry minimal tools when in the arcade, but one thing I could use (and pondered on making) is a light with a decent screwdriver in the tail.
I did find a cheapie one somewhere I was gonna ‘frankenstein’ into one (the driver bit) but it went by the by lol, The bits were too small really - but I think a regular bit would fit in the middle.
Somewhere I saw a photo showing the smaller driver bit holder, fitting into a larger regular sized one below it.

Yes, parental control. No?

Or maybe I’d like a magnetic control ring.

Aha, okay.

Kinda big for an EDC, but Sofirn/Wurkkos have a few magring lights. Discrete steps, though, not continuously variable.

The DV-S9, also kinda big, has a magslider which is continuously variable.

Discontinued, but price was not even $17 :open_mouth:

Thanks for showing.

Huh… whaddya know.

Good thing I grabbed 3 of ’em when I had the chance. :stuck_out_tongue:

FT had ’em for 17 and change, same with GB.

BG had a goggle entry then plays dumb and makes like it doesn’t exist when you click on it.

I’ve been saying for a decade that I’d both personally enjoy and could use at work, a NC D11.2 using an 18650 and putting out 500 sustainable lumens of punchy” flood.

Not having that, I voted for Aux LEDs, mainly due to really enjoying them on the Emisar KR4 I’ve had for about a dozen days now. The Aux LEDs are not just pretty and enjoyable, I’m finding them practical as well.

I would like to see Anduril support NiMH and an easier way to keep all my lights (firmware) up-to-date; maybe via USB-C?!
