I am selling this flashlight because it ended up in limbo shipping from China for a while, I got impatient, and bought the Fenix tk30 instead.
It is in like-new condition. I have only taken it out of the package, made sure that it worked, unscrewed the battery compartment, oiled the threads with 10 weight nano-oil, charged the battery partially, and then put the battery back in. I also put a Fenix battery in it briefly. It is an attractive flashlight with solid build quality. I am selling this one because I have used the TK30 for a while. Also, I like the TK30 better. The jetbeam does have a tighter beam and may reach further with a full battery, as it is rated to do. I haven’t compared their throw under suitable conditions. However, the Fenix seems to sustain slightly higher output with low battery - maybe it has a boost driver, or maybe I just imagined this difference.
Another minor annoyance with the jetbeam is that it takes significant force to screw the tube back together when the battery is in. You have to compress the springs quite a lot. Maybe this is an advantage in the sense that it holds the battery more securely? Anyway, just wanted to give people an idea of the pros and cons of this light.
It comes with a nice carrying case and spare o-rings as well as a spare tail-cap button and lanyard/cord. Oh, and the micro-usb charger for the 21700 battery.
I would prefer to sell to someone with some history on this site as opposed to a newbie.
Is the Fenix battery you tried any different than the original battery (is it shorter)? I’m interested. Can you send pics to my email (my screen name at aol)
I have added photos to the OP. Let me know if you would like different photos. I have not measured it as I don’t have the equipment to do so. A few weeks ago I made a quick comparison from someone else’s video comparing the beams of three different LEPS:
It’s light out now but I could do something similar with this one if it would be interesting. I am hesitant to use it because it’s pretty much new and I’m trying to sell it.
Edit: The fenix battery is the same dimensions as the jetbeam as far as I can tell.
If you do make a video use both at the same time side by side so we can really see the difference. I see videos where ppl compare lights separately but the camera ends up adjusting and you can’t tell which is brighter.
