Yup, it seems like a good step forward, and gchart has already done most of the work. I need to get the code merged in… have just been a bit distracted with all the other stuff happening lately.
I agree TK - not sure that I'd port NarsilM as-is to FSM - there's too many similarities with Anduril. For example, I don't like the Werner style UI for set mode levels and would rather go with Anduril style mode levels - makes more sense, more powerful custom settings, etc.
Also would want to use/leverage the more advanced thermal mgt, multi-MCU, AUX LED support, etc. I can see minor changes, and a simpler UI as being suggested, but I need a lot more specific details of what to change, eliminate, etc.
Question, is the 18350 tube part of the FT03 Mini package or separately available?
In BG, there is the option of “FT03 Mini flashlight” or the “FT03 Mini + Samsung 30Q” — Are the 18350 tubes included for both version of the item in BG’s listing?
Can someone tell me exactly what to purchase for flashing firmware? I’ve flashed phones a lot so the computer side is easy, just need to know what to buy
Would be happy ditching the aux and using a simplified UI on the AstroluxFT03 Mini, MF01, EC03 etc if it has the pads
I notice my order description seems to have changed. It says 5700k but I am sure it said 5000k. Shipping 13th of July but BG says it’s in stock. Anyone know what’s going on?
Not for me, and that is because of the battery, the short version for me looks like it lost 65% of the capacity. I believe that only a smaller built flashlight justifies the use of a 18350 battery.
Btw I have the 5000K SST-40 version, the beam it makes is very good without any obvious artifacts or tint shifts, on a 30Q I measure 1800 (honest) lumen at 30 seconds ( :+1: ), the tint is pleasantly neutral at low output but rather purple at high output, the CRI as expected is low, about 66 and at lower settings the CCT is 4700K. The colour leds in the reflector make for a neat effect.
It is the nature of this led. The turbo tint is not different from the significantly lower top ramp setting tint. To be more precise, the purple-ish is in the spill and not in the hotspot.
