I would like have an S2+ style Triple with XP-E2 Red - SST20 2700K - Osram IR or UV
2 modes for each Led,better if with the possibility of choosing which LED to turn on first.
Do you guys have on plan to develop it?
Should be ok in the usual AAA hosts with boost driver, like the Sofirn C01. There is not the problem with burning off excess voltage that lineair drivers have, these drivers are actually current controlled, so boosted to the correct voltage.
Standard shipping is now free as of $ 59.00 total order value.
C01R production will probably be finished by this week, so shipping should start soon afterwards. Sofirn is pushing to expedite the timeline as best as possible. Thank you for your patience.
C01R will also be sold on Amazon but not before August 2020 due to heavy workload in their warehouses.
Put my sofirn Red XpE2 into a spare L3 illuminations L10. Driver doesn’t seem to function correctly, instead of L>M>H it flashes twice and then stays on a ‘medium mode’…??
Swapped it into a lumintop Edc01, M>L>H UI, light starts in ‘medium’, low much brighter than stock, then ‘H’ is the same as M.
It must be the very low Vf messing with the chip, I’m surprised that it is so sensitive for that. But then, I know squad about electronics beyond Ohm’s law
Unfortunately, there were no prototypes or finished lights sent out to anyone before the "mass" production (this term is not really applicable here) started. All we have is a whitewall shot from a prototype that Barry sent to me, see OP.
I can see why Barry has to charge a higher price on Amazon and Aliexpres,
I am sure selling a little light for couple bucks is labor and cost intensive.
Is it the same case when selling a pack of 3, that includes C01S, C01R, etc…or a pack with different colors,
or even a pack of 5 for $50 or 10 for $100. etc.
I like the idea of a multipack that consists of different C01x lights, e.g. C01S with SST20 4.000K 95CRI + C01R with XP-E2 photo red 660nm. Another option could be the typical "buy one, get two" sales strategy, e.g. selling SP36 along with a free sample of C01S like Olight sometimes does with their lights.
