Full House of Grails:

What ya gonna do now?

maybe sw45k, and RastaTrits?

or chillax and think about it

This is when I say: envy

Joking :stuck_out_tongue: Congrats on the new light and the really good looking family

Wow. Congrats Jon.

Very nice! These rotaries almost make me want to be CR123 user rather than AA

I think the SWM lights were sold with an extension to make it work with AAs, at less output.

The rotary UI is the best from this one… Pity the money… For me…

yes, the AA capable Sunwayman include V10r, and V11r. They make about 90 lumens max on Eneloop, with a High CRI 219b swap.
(that is the extension from a V11r)

There is a V10r Ti+ for sale, with AA extension, here … somebody should grab it before I have to

here is the Ti AA Extension (left)

here is an AA V10r and a CR123 Eagletac

.

This TiC reaches 400 lumens max w 18350 and Low CRI xml

thank you all for sharing my joy
Im trying to work up the courage to mod the LED to sw45k… will post if that happens

Almost? Best form factor for edc in my opinion.

I am trying to learn to appreciate AA, but I dont.
Im trying to respect that long and thin can be more comfortable to carry, but since I insist on the Rotary UI, I find the AA is unreasonably larger than the CR123 Rotary options

my experience was all AAA, before I adopted CR123 size.

My reason was More Power! lol
in practical terms
AAA, and AA max out around 100 lumens w a 219b

my move to CR123 lets me reach 200 lumens w a 219b

for me, the appeal of AA is as a gift, so I dont have to teach lithium safety to muggles… Im looking forward to the arrival of a Copper AA Tool

For my personal use, the Rotary UI is paramount

if Rotary was available in AAA, I would carry it

the smallest rotary AA I can think of is the V11r with extender, pictured on left
but these are only rarely found on the used market only

it makes no sense for me to carry an AA eneloop light, when I can carry a 16340 light

but as a gift to a muggle… I choose AA

IF it was available, I would gift the Nitecore D10. it is imo, the best AA light I know of atm.

There IS an AA Rotary available today, the 2020 RRT-01 offers adapters to fit a wide selection of batteries

Im happy to see the reflector that moderator007 discovered for the Original 2012 RRT-01 seems to fit the TiC…

.

now to muster the courage to mod the LED to 219b…

Very nice TiC and a very nice titanium/rotary collection at all
And thumbs up for a single AAA with Rotary, I’d buy it right now :+1:

I believe he is still missing a jetbeam DM20

The DM20 is a fantastic light in looks but:

1. Not moddable as the lens is press fit and unscrewing over the rotator ring would destroy the light, according to JetBeam (Maybe the driver cables would be cut as in the 2012 RRT01).
2. The rotator ring has stepping all the way round, so even though it has the same driver as the RRT01, it is actually not stepless.
