Acebeam L17

HONDARIDER, I’m suspicious of the site too, it doesn’t seem like real information. As this site has a product that not even the official site comments on the flashlight …. very strange.

Killzone Flashlights has it listed now too. Can personally vouch that they’re fast and responsive.

I doubt it is the White 2.1. Acebeam lumens are usually over rated 10-20% though their throw ratings are usually under rated. They measure using the Acebeam calibration.

But 1,400 lm is way too optimistic for white 1mm2 even for Acebeam standards… $65 is a great price for Acebeam quality though.

It’s barely so for 2mm^2 CSLPM1.TG though.

:+1:

a pity to have exhausted

It just a sample pic of the new product, the factory give us the design first before they start actually manufacture it.
That’s why nitetorch.com post earlier than acebeam.com

Nitetorch is an exclusive agency for Acebeam.
they got latest news for product from Acebeam.
You could now check Acebeam.com, they have posted it there, just a few days late than Nitetorch.

the acebeam l17 has listed on acebeam website now.

Andrew & Amanda has all 3 listed, with note that available for shipping in 1-2 weeks
They are a good seller.

nitetorch.com has all 3 listed, and in stock, ready to ship any moment.

I found one on Amazon Canada, E10 finally got a big brother
It’s got nearly double the lumens and an osram led, yes please

Yes, I hastily bought one from Nitetorch, after 5 days shipping tracker status is still ‘processing’. But I’ve bought from them before without complaint, so will just have to wait.

My question is how Acebeam have quoted a large increase in lumens in comparison to the E10, whilst using the same emitter and TIR.

Interestingly Flashaholics new review of this light does show that it has what appears to be a different beam/hotspot in comparison to the E10.

To be explored when I can compare them on delivery…

It’s probably not the same emitter.

I’d put money on the E10 using the CSLNM1.TG (WF1), and the L17 using the CSLPM1.TG (WF2). Their output numbers are right in line with those.

I don’t think it’s the same emitter if I had to guess E10 is using the Osram 1.1 and the L17 is using the osram 2.1
If it’s the same emitter, then the E10 is under driving the emitter.
I didn’t get the expensive shipping so my L17 is probably going to show up mid August

I doubt it is the 1.1 and 2.1. No manufacturer have used that emitter yet. Skylumen is the only one so far modding with that emitter.

I don’t know of any other osram led’s that can clock the 1400 lumens and assist at so much throw. The 2.1 was the first to come to mind

Acebeam lumens are usually 10-15% higher. It is 1251 lumens at turn-on and 1156 lumens at 30s.

It would be helpful if we could all clarify what is meant by things like 1.1 and 2.1 and stuff. Because I have no idea what emitters you’re referring to.

There is a 1mm^2 and 2mm^2, and both come in 3030 or 4040. The 1mm^2 4040 is very rare and already discontinued by Osram. The two 3030 variants are already in a few flashlights out there (among others, the Noctigon KR1 offers both emitters as an option). I know BLFers have gotten examples of the 2mm^2 4040 emitter (“Boost HX”), but I don’t know a reliable source for low quantities of this emitter (which is not to say that there isn’t one). I believe LED4Power and Vinh (Skylumen) have had their hands on some.

  • CSLNM1.TG: 1mm^2, 3030 footprint.
  • CSLPM1.TG: 2mm^2, 3030 footprint
  • CULNM1.TG: 1mm^2, 4040 footprint (“Boost HL”)
  • CULPM1.TG: 2mm^2, 4040 footprint (“Boost HX”)

Because of the current rarity of the Boost/4040 variants, I’ve been assuming that when I see things like “WF1” (White Flat 1mm^2) it’s referring to CSLNM1.TG.

The osram led’s VinhNyugen uses, he refers to them like that, I’m guessing because they are a slightly newer generation of Osram led’s

I’ve never scene a broshure or website that shows the different emitters they make, only that he’s one of the few ways to get an awesome compact throwy flashlight. It’s probably an abbreviation for something but to know for sure you’d need to ask him
