got it

Interested depending on price. I agree SMO might be better for underwater use. I haven’t use any diving lights for scuba dives but they’re also very useful for wet caving.

Fin17 can you tell us what UI it has?

Interested. Thanks!

Carrying a current through the body is not an issue. The issue is a potential difference on the exterior of the light only. Otherwise, yes, damage to the anodization will result in corrosion just because of the nature of salt water.

Please refer to this thread for reference.

Guys, we’re familiar with mateminco/astrolux quality control aren’t we? Remember the FT03S’s reflector and other issues? Remember how the HL01’s 18350 tube didn’t properly fit many 18350s? Do you really want a diving light from them?

didn’t have any problems with the many lights I bought from them

I’m interested

Diving gear need nitrile or viton NBR 70 or 90 o-rings. Silicone o-rings are not serious, too soft, too weak.
And agree, super simple UL 2 modes

Very interested pending price. New Diver here with about 15 dives in my log. I’ve used a dive light with an XM-L2 and a reflector a littler larger than the convoy tube lights, as well as smaller light with what I think was an Xp-L2 in it, maybe it was an XP-G3 in a warmer tint that turned completely purple/UV light looking at 80-90 feet down. On land, I like warm led tints, but at 70+ feet down, what the best led tint to not turn copletely purple? Is there high-CRI at that depth? I’m using it for primary/vision purposes and signaling others, not photography. I think I’m going to order the sofirn SD05 for the incredible price, but I wish it came with an SST-40 option for increased throw/efficiency.
Thanks!

However, I do wonder how they’re going to have built-in USB charging on a diving light? A USB port is a weak point where water can seep in (water under pressure, if in deeper water). What is the tested / rated depth the light can be used?

Also as mentioned, the anodization to help against corrosion.

d_t_a - the charger is located under the tail cover.

See the last photo in the first post.

It was decided to release the first model of a diving flashlight in a light version -

WITHOUT an indicator button and a built-in charger.

In the future, these capabilities are expected to be implemented in the next model.

Very nice idea for the USB charging

This will be implemented in the next models of Astrolux diving lights ((
