【ツ】Wurkkos DL30 Sales Thread [available on AliExpress + Amazon]

Diving lights should be simple and foolproof. You’re underwater and accidentally hit strobe, and 100s of cuttlefish will swarm you trying to have sex with you and you’ll drownd.

Oh here, thank you for sharing,Yes I was worried that such a simple flashlight will be of little interest here :zipper_mouth_face: :zipper_mouth_face:

If the ring allowed variable output adjustment from 1 lumen to 3600 lumens, I’d be interested. 3 modes, lowest 350 lumes? Nah, not for me.

It’s a Diving Light. If you looking for ring adjustable light here you go : HDS Rotary

You want moonlight or 1 lumen mode under the water? :person_facepalming:

Plus, HDS Rotary max out put is 250 Lumen. And It’s $295.

I might be interested, thanks.

Wellp, if you really need a fully adjustable diving light, and can still get any, there’s always the DV-S9.

There is one problem with infinitely variable lights, magnetic ring or firmware. Consistency. If I get a run time at a certain output, it’s next to impossible to replicate that output and get the run time needed. Well you probably could but, it’s going to require more equipment than just a flashlight and a battery. Playing with our lights out in the back yard or around the house is one thing. Being underwater, with a limited supply of air, I would want to know exactly how much light I have left at a easy to access brightness level. That same light could be used for any activity that required you to know to the second, what you got. And I’m not carrying around extra crap just for a little light.

HDS are nice lights. Built to last and built to a standard that won’t be sacrificed for any reason. Good, bet your life on, type lights.

Variable brightness hobby lights aren’t really my thing. I have a few but they don’t get much pocket time. I also don’t have variable length knives or variable round count pistol magazines.

Consistency is good.

OP updated:

Mark kindly provided some first beamshots of DL30. Please see post #1.

Looking good! There’s definitely a place for simple, easy to use lights in and out of the water.

Just wondering though, is 350lm a good low level for divers? I can imagine there might be times when a lower level might be needed when closely inspecting items.

Also, any info on the driver?

I am interested, what price range will the fl will be?

I love ring lights! We need more not just dive lights.

Simple, solid and nice design, hard not to like this light. I'm in for at least one to be friends with my WK30.

I was told the driver is FET direct drive. I agree that 350lm could be a bit lower for using as a low mode in some situations. I asked if it's possible to keep it lower than this. Maybe they can offer four instead of three selectable modes in the future. Maybe this will be an improvement for the next batch, we will see. :-)

I do not know any prices yet but I expect DL30 to be in a very reasonable budget range. As usual, I try my best to get us a nice discount. ;-)

Interested.

Yes

I will want one of these. The Sofirn SD05 is one of my favorite lights.

I’m very interested. Makes for a good companion to the SD05 & the SD03. And I just can’t pass up Sammy’s 5k tint.

I like the mode spacing. 350 (Low) won’t be a problem. It may not go much deep, but it’ll be good on those moonless nights I go grave digging!

DL30 will probably be released next week. Stay tuned...

Definitely interested. It would be nice to see one additional mode that is lower than 100 lumens or so, but still interested regardless.
