Streamlight Survivor

I have a Streamlight Survivor which I used when I was on the Fire Department and has since seen nothing but storage duty. Obviously this is a very durable light with a tight, extremely throwy beam. It is the LED version which seems to use an XPG2 LED (in COLD white) running of a NiCD battery pack, though I have the 4AA carrier as well. Not really sure what to use this thing for these days. Its definitely a tank but the specs make it pretty specific to FD use. I do have the AC charging adapter but not the 12v. Was thinking with the clip, right angle and the good throw it would make a good glovebox light. Any other thoughts? Not really willing to sell it at this point but also hate just letting it sit useless.

Definitely a keeper, and better output than the old recoil led’s.
Well aside from garage and car light, it would be good for biking, camping, biking or jogging.

If your not active while it’s dark in your area, then maybe while on vacations or at work.

Put those L91 lithium AA 10 year self life batteries in it then in the car and never worry or forget about it again.

CarpentryHero good to have you back from the long hiatus.

Thanks Texas Shooter, been doing better

My son has a couple of these he used at work. They are an average light that is high cost due to a special use. Would make a decent light for emergency use.

thoughts:

  1. not only an Excellent glove box light, but anywhere else inside your vehicle.
  2. hang it at home in a closet, cabinet, etc. which has no lights.
  3. let me know if you decide to sell.
