As mentioned only 5 times earlier, i do as well!
Think same. Which host specifically suited best for sbt90.2?

The Quad 18650 host, all batts in parallel, perfect fit for a current hog like the SBT90.2!
Optional FET driver that we could replace would be great
Didn't Dale (DBCustom) build a beast ("Ham'r") with multiple FETs in joint circuitry for way more than 20,000lm using a whole bunch of LH351Ds below some carclos?
Anyway, 4x18A....geeez....that's 72A which equals in way over 250W! What host is able to sustain and dissipate so much heat? Please don't come with some active cooling by ventilation. Rotating, moving parts in a flashlight... It will probably take 4x Samsung 30T or 4x Molicel P42A in 4P configuration to get this amount of power without collapsing springs or batteries going nuclear. :-D

My sarcasm/joking detector is not working today, so I can’t tell if you are joking or not:

My sarcasm detector is not working today, so I can’t tell if you are joking or not: “Convoy 4X18A flashlight”:(links removed)
I did not mean to joke at all. The light you have linked to is for sure not consuming 4x 18A. It's just a light named "4x18A" but it's one and only XHP70.2 cannot drain more than approx. 18-22A from all 4 batteries. Anything beyond would burn this LED.
It’s an interestingly titled host, that’s for sure. But put it in 4P and the SBT90 would do quite nicely.
Edit:: it’s already in 4P sigh. Or even the M21C-U - cap it at 20-25A and away you go.
I should have read more carefully. Sorry for my misunderstanding. Reading “4x 18A” I was thinking, someone wanted to put 4 (four!) SBT90.2 into one single host.
Convoy M3 at 15-18 amps would be a nice and smaller host. Very heavy light to control some of that wattage. Even the M21C-U has good potential. I’m more into single cell lights.

You need more power for such a high current consuming light, this host is one of the best currently available without the need to redesign it
Hey, what were these little doodads?
I looked through the descriptions on the first page, and nothing jumped out at me.

Ive always wondered this myself
I think they were AAA Ti lights. Must not have ever eventuated.
I’m seriously impressed that Convoy is planning to try the SBT90.2. It’s a VERY EXPENSIVE emitter and Convoy lights are known to be real budget lights.
Simon, if you are planning to explore high end emitters, I recommend the Oslon CULNM1.TG Boost HL, which is the higher power version of the CSLNM1.TG or the CULPM1.TG Boost HX, which is the higher power version of the CSLPM1.TG.
Right now only Manker is using the CULNM1.TG because they were nearly unobtainable previously. Skylumen also mods lights using the CULPM1.TG. Would be sweet if Convoy can source these rare emitters.
I think it is not difficult for me to get it.

They are AAA titanium alloy flashlights, I posted the pictures just to see if you are interested in them

Sweet! If you can get the Boost Hx and Boost HL, that would really give Convoy the edge! :+1:
caramba: id30209:Simon, any progress on 4x18 e-switch (ramping?) sbt90.2 host?
And M21C sideswitch?
Yes, e-switch will make Convoy a killer light. But please use newest version of the firmware,
Please also update the reverse clicky drivers with something equivalent.
i will add a link of M21C side switch tomorrow
1.single click, turn on/off . press and hold the button to enter into ramping
2.flashlight off,press and hold the button>moonlight
3.flashlight on/off,double clicks> turbo
4.flashlight off,three clicks> strobe
5.flashlight off,four clicks> tactical mode
6.flashlight off,five clicks>Battery voltage detection
7.flashlight off,six clicks>switch to 4modes(1–10–30–100)
8.flashlight off,ten clicks>flashlight is lockedThe flashlight has temperature control protection and low voltage protection.
Great news, at least for me… as I’m not a tail clicky guy.
Thanks Simon. Order placed for M21C-U.
