My L17 on route from Nitetorch. I am excited about this light’s performance and beam characteristics. I am convinced that Acebeam used the Osram W2 with this TIR which if true makes this quite a unique light to date.
Interested in the performance myself. Like to know what runtime and useful throw this light can provide for extended period of time use on High mode.

Actually, a 4x increase in light output is perceived by the human eye as doubling the intensity. I wish more light manufacturers used this as their mode spacing.

lep killer my arse.u clearly havent seen the specs of the fenix t27.AND after a few minutes this is just a LITTLE WEAK TORCH.the beamshots with distance are great(so many don’t) but the info at the bottom of the screen would be easier to read while still watching the beam shots

Definitely not a LEP killer but why would you compare a $270 light with a $70 one?
For the price of the L17, size and performance, it’s on my short list of torches to buy. Acebeam does make nice flashlights and I love my L30 and X45. Looking forward to more flashlights with the TIR lens. Can’t wait for the MC13 deal to start 
Other than for very specific scenarios and tasks, LEPs are expensive toys (until a company starts releasing them with adjustable focus/collimation).
A thrower with a broader beam like this can actually be a practical light when outdoors and not using optics to magnify whatever you’re pointing it at…
because the title of this thread says lep killer which it clearly isnt.it still seems a great little torch and i might get one.pity about the VERY short turbo run time.i hunt scope mounted with a tk30 .its THE BEST,size ,weight,throw,run timeand white
Depends on whether it’s killing it in performance, or in value. In regard to the latter, I think it is.
Would the average person say a Honda is a Ferrari killer?
It’s a fraction of the price, has more passenger and cargo room, gets better gas mileage, and is even cheaper to maintain and insure!
How is Ferrari still in business?

The average person, not being able to afford a Ferrari, would consider anything they are driving as a Ferrari killer, as they will never have a Ferrari to compare it to. Aside from TV and the internet, most folks will never even see one unless they accidentally drive into the affluent neighborhoods.
Ferrari is still in business because of rich people with little else to do than collect cars. They buy em and store them in garages to be admired from afar. Same with Lamborghini, Bugatti, McLaren, Porsche etc……………. I never quite understood collecting cars and never driving them. Makes no logical sense.
It’s a shame. Some of the greatest cars ever produced will never see 10K miles. I’d drive it until it died or I ended up in jail with too many tickets. Either way that car would be driven daily. 
Perhaps I should have said “average car enthusiast” rather than “average person.”
