Chinese mentality: it is not my business to do it, other department takes care of it...

I've had to deal with customer service via email with dx and a couple other places. It's frustrating and slow as hell but I stuck it out and eventually got my items replaced. Patience and being nice (even though I felt like cursing them out) to them I think helped me get what I wanted....eventually.

yeah I never cursed or anything, but the I KNOW bit just made me mad..their CS has always been ok for the most part, but they lied to me for 2 weeks after lying to me about the product being in stock..then give me the hard time because I want a refund? it's bs..DD can shove it..I wouldn't expect this bad of treatment from DX..i'm altering my sig to reflect DD lol

I don't blame you. I didn't go through anything like you have been going through because if I did I can't say how I'd react. Going to the dentist or a bullet in the head sounds better than dealing with chinese customer service.

wrong..I paid 22$..the gift card was only 5$..I don't care if they were on the moon for the last 20 years..the problem is the lying and the deceit..if you can't get it to me then stop saying you have it or you will have it..just give me back my money..if you can't handle that then don't sell to us..simple..They screwed me on my skyray v2 also but like a sucker I thought they couldn't screw this order up..wrong..I use ebay but really thought i'd give DD another shot with a simple order..whatever that has nothing to do with the bull CS service..

and as far as the Chinese and English comments go..if I was going to sell something to Chinese people I would learn Chinese or hire Chinese speaking people..that's such a moot point..

I don't think any of these sites are necessarily trying to give poor customer service etc. I think it boils down more to these things, the language barrier, the culture difference between the western world and China, the vast distance and just being new to all of this making for poorly run businesses. Again, I don't think they try and to do a bad job, I think they are trying to do a good job, but all these issues conspire to make for lots of issues.

I dont think they learnt lying in the dictation. If anything, they learned to not say anything at all.. but thats not the point.

I think complaining about chinese companies isnt crying at all. Its just being pissed at obvious lying, slow refund and poor CS. Dont get me wrong, for example, the CS-guys at DX are always nice and helpful. But CS itself really sucks. If you dont open 1-2 tickets, you wait forever. Imo its OK to complain about that. Might be a warning to others, or a recommendation in some cases.

DD customer service are liars. They tried to tell me my unprotected batteries were protected and claimed there was not a problem. I ended up getting a $13 refund from a $22 purchase where others got gift cards of higher value than their purchase. F- them. I had already been ripped off from them before. I won't ever buy from them even if they sell $100 lights for $23.

Why? I can see both sides of the argument, buy a lot of cheap lights or 1 or 2 expensive lights, both sides have their merits and disadvantages. Buying more expensive lights you are more likely to get what you want the first time and be happy. However I would also never touch an expensive light to mod it etc. for fear of ruining it. Now with a cheap light you may not get exactly what you want but I am not afraid to take it apart and tinker with it just for the fun of doing it.

You whined about them taking 2 days to refund your money? Did you have a loan shark coming to collect? To me they were 100% reasonable and provided very good customer service. They gave you a good solution and when that happens you should take it. In reality it rarely takes 2 days for the refund to go through.

When they're 2 days isn't 2 days and is a brush off then you can see why it's an issue..I doubt I'll get a refund

I had a similar experience. Otta said they need two days to refund. I still have a few days before paypal dispute so I thought there's no reason not to wait. I got the refund the following day.

I don't know why you are already thinking you won't get the refund and even made a thread about it. I was expecting a lot worse transcript than this.

I think you'll get the refund. They would probably give you a replacement gift card or a gift card to replace any dino points you used too. I'm just not sure they understood that aspect. I'm amazed they even agree to refunds over chat without talking to a supervisor first. I'm sure someone has to review it before they can actually issue a refund and the time of the chat may not match up with their workday, so they usually say 2 days.
