Hello from Sweden

Hi all
I have been getting into the flashlight hobby lately and what better place to learn than here. I have a couple of small lights (Olight S1R II and Nitecore Tube) and I just ordered a Thrunite TC20 for a bag carry light. I’ve been reading some recommendations online and there seems to be that Lumintop and Emissars are the lights to get. I am a little hesistant to buy as they seem to require unprotected cells and I don’t know if I would risk it “as a noob”

Anyway, I’m here to learn!

Welcome to BLF!
Sweden is such a beautiful nation, I have been many times and it is a great location for flashlights as a hobby!

It's a pleasure to have you onboard, MagnaWolf!

And it sounds like you've been doing your homework.

Well, we certainly get our fair share of darkness per year, that’s for sure

Welcome!

Welcome to BLF MagnaWolf! Unprotected batteries are safe in flashlights that have low voltage protection and temperature regulation.

Welcome to BLF MagnaWolf  You came to the right place to learn about flashlights and cells. Enjoy

Hello

Thanks for being alive, MagnaWolf!

For the record, I’ve tested the hell out of an unprotected Sony VTC6 and Samsung 30q in an Emisar D4V2 and they only get a little warm.

What I mean is, I’ve repeatedly used turbo until it’s painful to touch the copper head, yet the battery is only a bit warm when removed.

I think you needn’t worry.

I was thinking more about what cells and chargers to get, how to use them safely, those type of things.

My wallet are getting some exercise right now. I have a Wurkkos FC11 and a RovyVon A8U on the way as well.

welcome :person_with_crown:

Indeed a beautiful country and those girls

@MagnaWolf
If you happen to live anywhere near Stockholm I will gladly show you some Emisars and Noctigons or the FT03. I also have a Zebralight.
