Well, it’s kinda like Amazon. You buy an automatic egg-peeler, and next thing you know, they’re pushing more and more “suggested for you” listings for even more egg-peelers. Like, how many egg-peelers can one person use??
Same with those “Sources Of Trvth”. You search for something bizarre, like “okanye west drink baby blood, and next time you’re online, that’s pretty much all you get. Next thing you know, you’re convinced that’s what he does, because it just gets reinforced over and over and over, rarely if ever any ”suggestions” for anything to the contrary.
Take the last train to Clarksville
And i’ll meet you in the station,
Better be there by four-thirty
Or there’ll be no mathturbation,
Don’t be slow,
Oh no, no, no.
This 1-dimentional talk about chances of death are getting tiring. Let’s move on to talk about the chances of permanent damage. Permanent damage to the heart, lungs, kidneys, and brain often happen. How often? Let’s talk about that.
An analysis of the coronavirus figures so far indicate that the US is about to face a massive third wave of COVID-19 infections that could peak even higher than the first two.
Statistical data shows that the second wave hit the US in early June, as the nation failed to flatten the curve like other countries did.
The second wave saw a considerable drop in cases by mid-July after daily new cases had climbed to terrifying highs that eclipsed the first wave.
Now, the numbers are going up again….
…
Time’s article, complete with more graphs from Johns Hopkins, is available at this link and it’s worth a read.
As per the article you linked, as the other one before, I could draw some very throrough conclusions about why those numbers are as they are, but I’ll just leave it that way….
Second wave? Third wave? We’re all doing “the wave,” yet we aren’t at the stadium… go figure.
The thing is, “the wave” just keeps going ’round and ’round the stadium until the crowd gets tired of it and quits participating. That’s a bit like real life, because I can see that people are getting tired of participating in all the gimmickry. Feels like it won’t be much longer before most folks just say to themselves, “Hardly any young, healthy people are dying from this thing. You know what? I miss normal life; it’s time to get on with it. If the old and sick folks want to avoid this thing, let them self-isolate.”
