BanL, I highly recommend you buy one of the following to test your LEDs so you know what you actually bought and if your suppliers are being honest with their labeled bins. Also if you can label your LEDs with the CCT, CRI, and tint (DUV), it would greatly help your customers buy with confidence and this will set your store apart from other LED stores online. Keep in mind many customers might not want to take gambles when buying emitters.
I don’t buy emitters these days until they are proven by somebody here with at least a beamshot comparison. And I only but more than a sample emitter until I’ve tested it or someone posts spectral data. I can’t deal with much more than 0.0010 duv. Lee filters have saved many LEDs from the trash bin, but they’re not ideal. They scratch easily and cut a lot of lumens. This really should be a standard practice for any seller who claims a specific tint/CRI binning.
I too was intrigued and purchased one a few days ago. My intention to put in a White Flat 2mm^2 and Convoy SST40 driver (Link). Added a note regarding SMO reflector, hope they oblige.
Is KD operating normally at the moment? I have three orders on “processed”, the oldest one for more than a month. Nothing shipped apparently and I don’t get replies to my emails either.
I made an order (bare emitters (in stock)) on 1st Oct and shipped on 9th, so even with website down, things seem to resume pretty normally after the golden week/national holiday.
Same for me, I did also put it in the cart, but before checkout, even for one piece, the site showed a warning, that the quantity I need cannot be provided.
If this LED has been already sold out, then could you please get XHP35 HI C2 45G 4500K CRI90 for us? (If that is not possible, I will also buy 50G or 40G, but 45G would be the best, once you have new stock of this LED)
Even after checking the latest XHP35 datasheet (rev 2A), the highest bin listed for HI 4500K CRI90 emitters is B4, and 3-step MacAdam (45G) is not even listed, only 5-step or 45E (XHP35A-H0-0000-0D0UB445E order code).
So, unless you (and better if many others too) pray to God or ask God for these to be available, optimistically speaking I see very slim chances for that to happen.
But if there were no C2 specified for 40G as well, probably we can hope, that for 45E, Ban also could find C2 with similar luck. (But I won't be sad even only, if it is just B4, just it needs to be 4500K and 90CRI for me.)
So I now received all three of my “processed” orders, two of them consolidated into one parcel. No reply to my emails about their status, and no update to “shipped” – hence also no tracking number.
I’m a bit surprised by the complete radio silence in the last two months, but very glad to see that KD is still operating normally apart from that!
