Walmart here had the 2C twisty head ones on sale a few months or so ago for six dollars and some change. Picked up a few for beaters around the barn. Nothing glued in them. I brought one inside with tthe intention of swapping out an emitter but never had the heart. I just left them Magolicious.
These aren’t LED, but the old-timey hotwire bulbs. The 2AA are easy to match-mod, but the 3D is gonna be a beeyotch.
Pretty sure the reflector diameter is about the size as a Q8 reflector, so was going to try(!) to do something with that. Worst case I was gonna DD it from those 3 alkaleaks and maybe a small series resistor (questionable thermal path), and wire up a “connector” from a gutted PR-2 bulb for simplicity, vs having mag-guts all over and a nonworking light of any kind.

Put some DC Fix on the big one. Nice beam now but low lumens. I’m spoiled.
Naw, but tnx. I specifically got the purple one to mod, just to have a pretty showpiece that’s technologically in this century.

I’ve used similar ones in the past. The mount has a few neodymium magnets in it. You either adhere one of the included steel plates to your phone or slip it between your phone and a case. Then your phone will stick to the mount via magnetic force. It’s pretty nice.
I quit using them for now because I use wireless charging with my phone. The steel plate would usually block charging unless you position it just right (away from the coil in the phone) so I haven’t used mine in a while.
