Lumintop GT nano on the way

With a 10440 this light needs a thermal stepdown, does the nano have one?

I put a CSLNM1.TG in my GT Micro with an efest 14500 and it’s been fine. Have used it quite a bit on turbo.

led dont go blue? weird if a 14500 can run longer but 10440 for lumintop it went blue…

Gt micro has a lot more thermal mass.

exact
blue is due to heat often

had a C8 with AL MCPCB
went blue at 3A

changed to copper and its good now at 6A

ah that would explain it…

If the led is mounted well, even in a small host like the nano it should not turn instantly blue, maybe after a while but that is what thermal protection is about, which is part of Narsil/Anduril.

Maybe Lumintop should re-do their 10440 test. Or just get us a 10440 tube separately.

If this light will be limited to the 10180, how about adding an option for the CULMM1.tg?

Here is a little video featuring the ......

Lumintop GT Nano.... with some "handling" and a few beamshots near the end of the video.

With thanks to the BiliBili video network and the poster Flashlight player.

Martin

I found this video also in a foreign language and has some beam shots at the end

I really want one of these lights but I really want a 10440 tube.

Can’t someone that talks to lumintop convince them to produce a 10440 tube separately for those of us who are willing to take the risk if it kills the emitter.

it sounds unlikely they will make tubes if it means using 10440 will fry the led…

Some new pictures for the Lumintop GT3 .... (link to original post on Baidu)

The essence

1. Alternative carrying method: 1 and 2 .

2. Beamshots: 1 and 2 . (no data as to output level ... assume highest ?)

3. Video preview with closeups and beamshots ...... @ 1:30.......

With a thankyou to the BiliBili video network and the poster Flashlight player (3) as well as the Baidu FC and the poster "_ 541" (1 + 2).

Thanks,

Martin

PS> I am wondering how am I to know if these links even are used or basically somehow contributing ? (i.e. I am missing a sort of "like" button ? )

I just don’t understand why they don’t use a DTP MCPCB. No 10440 would kill the emitter if they did.

The GT3 reminds me of the Hakelite MT03. The only issue with that light is Narsil only regulates downward but doesnt know how to regulate up. After minutes of use, the output drops down to 200-300 lumens and stays there. I hope this one has a buck driver to set it apart from the MT03 and to make the light practical.

I received my nano a few days ago. Impressive brightness and throw for such a tiny light.

What's next in the pipeline, the GT Pico? :D

How could one go smaller?
There are 10160 cells but that would hardly make a difference.
Maybe some LiPo?

Seems a budget desicion screwed the nano...

I saw a picture of a Aluminum MCPCB

I hope they consider a V2 with copper MCPCB capable to run with 10440...

How can we get Lumi back on track? Seems they got too successful. I bet even the nano sells. Understandable, it’s a beauty. But unfortunately buying low quality stuff cements low quality of the products, that’s why I sit on my fingers in front of the ordering page.

nano^2 / 10440 / copper MCPCB / $40 … I’m in despite the product being expensive.

Just ordered mine from Neal through your site Max. Man this thing looks tiny! Almost a keychain thrower (:
