Armytek Wizard C2 Pro (successor to the Wizard Pro V3)

E21A has greenish tint in low and medium modes, it is clear in t1 and rosy in t2. v4 C2 PRO is rosy in every mode. It also seems to be a little colder than E21A 4000K. I would classify its tint as 5A.

BTW I am puzzled by the lack of information from Armytek about the new model. No announcements or marketing campaign. What’s more, it seems that no one except the Polish distributor has it for sale yet. Isn’t that weird?

Seems like you got the later batch of E21A 4000K with higher flux bin but approximately on the BBL tint from Clemence. The Tiara Pro with the earlier lower flux bin batch of E21A 4000k was super rosy, almost like the sw45k and one of the best looking 4000k I’ve seen.

Andrew & Amanda is selling the C2 Pro

Does it get scratched so easily as the previous versions?

How does the button feel? Haven’t been impressed with them on the earlier wizards (have to hold very firm while cycling through modes).

It’s larger and easier to press, I like it :+1:

I bought a Wizard Pro Warm in 2015. I was so impressed, I immediately ordered a Tiara C1 Pro Warm. The Tiara failed this spring and ArmyTek replaced it with the Tiara Pro Magnet Warm. The Wizard Pro failed this month and is currently en route to China for "examination" before they replace it.

I'm curious as to what the replacement will be. (And as to the longevity of both replacements...) I love everything about the ArmyTek headlamps and hope the reliability issues have been solved. I want to buy at least one more!

I am not a big fan of the 50.2. I would order the Wizard Pro Warm Nichia if it wasn’t so expensive. I don’t need 2000+ lumens or sub lumen modes on my headlamps. Mine get put to work, hard. I had a few H03’s but the hold for off, put me off. Acebeam AA/14500, although a fine headlamp, doesn’t have the run time, the D10 is good but has a quirky UI. I like the YLP Panda. Works perfect for me but, a bit on the heady side.

I’d also buy a ZL too but the cost keeps me away from them as well. My Panda keeps trudging forward without complaining, and the D10 is my back up. My back up for that is another Bourit, the budget one with the ramping interface. I don’t care about magnetic charging. I have extra cells for times when it dies. I don’t have time to wait for recharging.

I do have a few Partner C1’s and a Doberman that I got with a coupon Armytek sent me by phone. They call once every few months and offer me coupons. I thought that was kind of nice of them, although, I don’t always take them up on their offers.

Armytek has a promotion going on that may or may not be expired where you have to ask for it on their Instagram or Facebook page. I don’t do those so I contacted them through their website and they sent me a link to a white one that does not clearly mention white or warm or cool or NW . The takeaway is, pay attention. It looks like the normal price will be 80 and the promotion price is 64 plus 10 bucks shipping to US and 25 to Canada, don’t know on the rest of the world.

The headlamp itself is white???

No I was referencing the way armytek sometimes refers to the color as either “white” or “warm”. Then in other places they do refer to model choices as cool white or warm white. Even though their warm is not really warm. And you’ll see some retailers reference armytek “warm” as NW. So the link they sent me for the promo code was for a cool white even though it did not specify that. There was no option for a warm. I believe with the nichia they reference neutral and warm but there’s only one model. So the point is you have to pay attention.

I have a wizard pro v3. Is the button on the new C2 different than the v3?

My v3’s button occasionally thinks a single click is a double click. Not often, but a couple times a month. I’ve heard other people experience the same thing with the V3 button.

Their “White” color temp option is usually about 5500-5700K. If it’s any lower CCT than that it will be listed as “warm white” based on all the lights they’ve done for years.

I can appreciate that when they started 10+ years ago almost everything was cool white. And labeling anything that wasn’t cool as warm to differentiate was useful at the time. It seems to me that they and everybody else is aware of the difference between warm, neutral, and cool. Although the neutral middle ground is not 100% defined. But I do take issue with them trying to sell me a cool white without specifying what it was. I’m sure that some people bought it not knowing that a warm,NW was available or will be.

Totally agree, it’s just the format they’ve seemed to stick with. Calling the 4500K Nichia Wizard “warm white” really made little sense to me either.

i, mildly say, not fan of Armytec, but pic is awesome, bardzo dobje!

Any tint comparisons between this and the Wizard Nichia? Very tempted to add another to my collection. Does the v4 charger work on v3/nichia lights as well?

Here’s a little comparison. Below is the original photo taken in manual mode using LG G6 smartpgone. Flashlights set in turbo 1 mode.

As some of you know, taking pictures of flashlights with a higher color rendering index is tricky. The light in the photos appears to be rosier than it actually is. Modding my wizard v3, I trusted what I saw in the pictures taken by Clemence, this is why I have chosen the E21A 4000K LEDs. As it turned out later, these LEDs have a pink shade only in turbo 2. They are awful green in medium modes. Not wanting to confuse you, I have edited the photo using GIMP to make it look like what my eyes see.

Wizard Nichia seems to be perfectly white. It is possible that Duv is slightly negative (–0.0005 more or less).
The color of the E21A 4000K in this mode is quite pleasing to the eye. Duv close to zero.
v4 C2 PRO warm is a little bit colder than E21As. The color is clearly pink (–0.0040 or even less).

I am looking forward to Maukka’s accurate measurements.

Thanks for the detailed pictures. The pink doesn’t look terrible and better pink than green I suppose. Wondering why Armytek hasn’t made any official announcements yet. Hopefully they’ll have some sort of sale going on later this month

That V4 tint looks sweet. That’s how my Olight H2R pro NW looks
