Wrist watches. Post pics, if you EDC one!

We have a Timex outlet near me that my gal and I will be visiting as soon as I have some spare $$. They have great prices and a great selection.

Not a great picture as it was taken in pitch black, but I do like this watch. It was a gift from my wife.

Those are actually kind of cool…. durability, accuracy, worry-free quartz + the flair of a mechanical balance wheel and automatic wind rotor to drive the seconds complication.

Some people like their wrist watches to be accurate:

thanks Kramer, sounds like you know a thing or two about watches…

Mmmm…. watches, another of my passions
Love Casio, actually. Best bung for the buck. There are much nicer watches out there, but for the price - Casio.
Right now I have this Edifice EF-318, very accurate, about 2 sec. per month (instead of, official, +/- 20 sec). My wrist is quite small, so not all watches are for me :frowning: And I really like those G-Shock models, but they are too bulky (on my wrist, of course). So, I use my, ol’ known model - DB 36 - as my digital watch. It has everything that I need, but it’s not so ergonomic :frowning: My other W-E11 model was much better in this aspect.

Wow, some nice pics have landed here!

Yeah, I too have only that one watch and it is more on the budget side, as Ledsmoke said also.
But I was more interested on the budget side of watches when posting this up, naturally  I have a dream of getting an Omega, like my dad but a) new Seamasters just look not so good when I compare them to old ones b) they cost megabucks, pretty sure I would have second thoughts after getting one…

Sent my fathers Seamaster for repair to UK.
Great service, great pics and affordable price!

Lovely collection Kramer, I like the modded Seikos, being meaning to get a Yobokies mod for a while now.

Anyway here’s my EDC (crappy phone pic, gives a flavour tho’)

Yeah Seiko makes a great watch for the $$. Mine was modded by Michael Lively of WUS. Its a tribute to the original no radiation logo BP from the 50s…. but with Seiko monster hands. If you see a modded Seiko for a good price don’t hesitate, they generally go fast.

Just thought I’d BUMP this thread for the other watch guys with this Costco deal I saw a week or so ago…

Just here to say: ordered a 10$ beater for work use

Also, sent my Seagull ST5 for maintenance, seemed to run a bit too fast for considered as a proper functioning.

One of mine

New addition:

Definitely A Budget watch 8)

I have a couple watches, many I have broke over the years. : (

But my main watch is the one I’ve been wearing every day for years, it’s an old Soviet 1960’s Vostok. It’s my favorite watch I’ve ever had, it’s only had to be tuned up twice in it’s lifetime so far.

I love it’s ridiculous simplicity, it only has two modes, wind and set. I figure it’s been going for almost 50 years it’s gotta be good. Never have to change the battery. :stuck_out_tongue:

Have you just tuned it up twice, no lubing or service yet?? :open_mouth:
Great thing, if it just goes on for ages…

Just got a “new” Sea-Gull ST5 for my wife.
This one is with date. Paid around 30$ for it and I´m pretty pleased with it. Strap was about 8$ extra.

Just received this!

Sea-Gull 816.351

Pretty much as “bang-for-buck” as it gets for this price, bought it used.

Where I can get one too? (with that discount, of course  )

Had it about three years. I need something to tell 24 hour time, for work and I wanted to still see a regular clock face. Much more accurate and dependable than the timex watches I always used to buy. Bought it cheap on ebay.

I don’t take care of watches, so I needed one to take care of me, even if I wasn’t nice to it.

It is a heavy watch, but I don’t even notice any more.

Casio Edifice EFA 123

Before you get a radio controlled watch, make sure it can reach the signal in the area you are living in.
