If you lost all your lights, what would you buy first?

I'm not a AA only kind of guy ...but it would definitely be a first pick light for me .

With emitters getting more and more efficient AA lights are sufficient for 95% of anything you need a light to do .

Zebralight H51f

That would probably be my pick as well. I do love my Fenix TK70, but for everyday use the TK41, Sunwayman T40CS, or Olight M3X would be the ones I would replace first. And I can’t leave out the Olight SR51.

At the moment I would try to replace my Keygos KE-5 fist, but I already own two of them. Compared to my TrustFire TR-3T6, it’s cheap, bright, small, and has the most applications of use.

Almost forgot to mention for everyday use, and one of my new favorites, the Sunwayman T20CS would have to be one of my first even on top of the FenixTK41. It’s bright and pure quality. And it’s small.

I have hardly anything to loose, but if it was all gone, I would buy a

Maglite XL200

From looking at the beamshot at FONAREVKA.RU, I'd be happy.

I would buy my current EDC first: an XM-L Xeno E03.

Tie between Jetbeam PA40/Balder SE-1. These two cover everything I need.

solarforce L2P and then something smaller AA

Do you like the Peilican 1920 more than the Streamlight Stylus Pro? I really like my Stylus Pro and even ordered qty=2 as spares in black, which I admit wasnt the best thing to do if I find out the 1920 is a better light.

The 1920s like really nice, can you pls comment. I really like the 2xAAA pen light form factor. Easy to replace batteries (eneloops), slim like a pen, nice clip (I love lights with clips), and long battery life.

I do prefer the Pelican over the Streamlight. I carried the Stylus Pro for a few months before I bought a Pelican to try. I have barely used the Stylus since. The Pelican is just better in every way. It is made better, better clip, better lens, has a nicer tint, is about 2x as bright and it makes the SL look like a light from the past.

The only advantage the SL has over the Pelican is it is a little thinner and lighter. Would only be noticable in shirt pocket carry. I carry mine in my pants pocket clipped like a knife and I never notice either of them. Thats why I love the penlight format. I can carry it and not feel the size or weight.

As an aside, I recently bought the new and more expensive Streamlight Pro-Tac 2AAA “Tactical” penlight and don’t care for it. It is no brighter than the Pelican but has the worst UI I have ever seen on any light. It has high, strobe and low in that order. In order to get to low you have to somehow half click the switch 3 times within 0.4 of a second. If you half click it twice “which is what I end up doing most of the time”, you go into that fast strobe mode. It is the most foolish thing I have ever seen on a penlight. Who needs a strob function on a penlight in the first place?

After throwing a tantrum or two, I’d probably get the ZL sc600. It’s my go-anywhere light

Balder SE-1 XML Neutral White
Sunwayman M11R Tan color
Balder BD-4
Xeno E03 (which i didn’t lost )
Skilhunt Defier X3 (which i didn’t lost )

If I lost all my lights, which arent too many and only few models, Id probably buy these:
3 mode Sipik
AAA pocket rocket with multiple modes
AAA/AA runtime champ
<10$ AAA cree headlamp

All lights would be within 10$ limits, maybe except for AAA pocket rocket

Definitely cover the EDC tasks first. ITP-A3 on the keyring and Quark AA for belt carry next to my leatherman is what I use now. I’d search around for something along those lines.

Next would be something hands free and tail standing for trail/outdoor lighting and general use around the house. Zebralight, Fenix MC10, trustfire Z1, Energizer night strike is what I have now. But there are more alternatives/options.

Last would be the trail blasters… Stanley fatmax for throw (of course I would mod it) and an Apex 5T6 for flood. May as well throw in a SR king into the mix if I can get one for around $60 from a respected retailer.

Not sure where a 3.5A HD2010, or 6P/Malkoff/18650 mod would fit into the mix… but I’d land those too.

Thanks a lot for the reply and typing all that out, I appreciate it, looks like I will be ordering the 1920 soon.

LOL at that tactical pen light. That UI and strobe sounds really bad.

I like my Stylus pro because its so simple, one button, one mode, w/ momentary.

Hands down an EagleTac TC20 MKII for me. Variable modes and several different drop-ins. I use the red and green, a drop-in for throw and another for all-around brightness for caving. The second would be a D25C Clicky for jogging. I really could get through life pretty easily with just those two lights…but then again, what fun would THAT be…

*If I lost all my lights, First I buy a gun.

to shoot who steal my lights*

 :stuck_out_tongue:

Balder SE-1 XML NW, I already lost it and bought another one right away!
There is a lucky crew member on the Carnival Legend who probably found it on the bedside table lol

With just a SR KING I’m done!
