Nice light, I modded mine with a better driver, it is kind of throwy, wish they made one in HAIII
I like mine; it’s throwy and bright for a nice pocket-sized light. They make good gifts for non flashaholics since they are simple and reliable, have a forward clicky, run on a standard alkaline AA cell, and are brighter than most flashlights that non flashaholics are familiar with. Plus it mounts nicely on a shotgun tube using the DX rubber/velco bicycle light mount. I haven’t tried firing it yet though to see how it handles the recoil… :bigsmile:
You are looking at the updated XP-G model. Mine is the original XR-E (unknown bin) emitter from FocalPrice. I have bought several; most were sold/gifted to others who I don’t trust with Li-ion cells…
What better driver did you use exactly and could you post a link?
You cannot go wrong with a Shinning Beam Light .
My first led light! I have the original version. Very throwy and tough for a AA.
The driver draws ~2A on my non-shiningbeam sample so Ni-MH or Lithium Ultimate is recommended. Otherwise quite nice with a XP-G since the beam is a bit too focused w/ XR-E.
