Review: E1320 Modified UltraFire/UniqueFire UF-2100

Great job on the review and photos Foy and great job to E1320 as well!!!
I would like to see a custom job on the Ultrafire U20S that KD has too but it’s kind of high priced to justify a mod.
Here’s the link to the U20S if anyone might be interested…

The description is incorrect as usual but I love the host!

Maybe we need to do this like some of the Chinese discount offers where we choose from a group of lights. Erik could put together a list of a few lights that are affordable and easily accessible to him and popular vote wins. That’s if he cares to make the extra effort. I don’t want to make this too complicated

Thanks Erik! I’m curious to see the 14500 monster.

I have been in deep regret that I did not grab this one. Will not pass the next 14500 one.
Great review Foy and great light E. Thank you.

For some rerason I ordered 3 lights.
.002
3C
5C
My only regert is that I did not order 3 of EACH……………………

These lights are KILLER
The .002 is very nice and the 3C color very nice, the 5C is no slouch either.

Great lights for a great price, how could you go wrong.

Can’t wait for the next offer

Thanks Foy for the review! My thoughts exactly! I love my Ultrafire and it's "wall of light"! I turned it on for the first time and said, "Holy $#@%!" Erik really tried to confuse me and snuck in one of his 3.5A drivers instead of the 2.8A that I was expecting; I thought my DMM was whacky and couldn't be trusted! It was concluded that my tailcap currents matched Foy's for the 3.5A version and that must have been the reason for my odd readings.

Thanks to Erik for an awesome light! Wouldn't hesitate to order a custom light or custom driver from him again!

Guess now I need to watch out for the AA/14500 custom build!

I have a stock UF-2100 which gets very hot on high. I can only imagine hot these lights get on high. Any issues using the high setting with the new driver running 3.5A?

For some tip $ you can get one pushing 3.5 amps… And WOW …. >)

This! This is what happens when I don’t log in. Crazy people go and make cool crazy stuff! ARRGH!!

I can run mine Turbo 10 minutes and no damage, nor the battery gets hot…… I turn off to high after a while, turbo is not to run hours, but for a small kick of power when needed and to amaze friends…… They cannot comprehend how much light comes out of that small light !

The wait is killing me.

For those the missed out Dino Direct is selling the Uniquefire 2100 for $11.99 until tomorrow so I ordered 10 more. They will be $25 delivered to a US address please post in the group buy thread if you want one.

Just used this light for the first time in probably 10 days and it is still my favorite light! On high it is a wall of light usefull for walking around outside and scanning the yard. Me and Maverick were very impressed just like it was a new light that I turned on the first time. Still love it!!!

Also side note - I freaking hate these 3000 mah flames from manafont! |(

You aren't the only one. Those UltraFire BRC's in the red wrapper are disliked by many. I had two from a long time ago and one began to have a strong smell and I threw it out. The other one has about half the run time of even my weakest 18650.

I think I didnt put enough info in for the batteries I was hating on. Its the trusfire flames 3000mah from Manafont

Ohhh . . . sorry, wrong battery.

I will add however, that I have a couple of 18350 flames just like those (1200mAh) and was surprised to discover they delivered the same run time as my 16340. (880 mAh) Guess I should have read up a little more before buying.

Mine is still strong after a lot of abuse …… Let’s do another group buy …. I’ll take 5 ……

I just got mine yesterday. The moonlight low is awesome, as is the brightest setting.
The switch itself is a little squirrely, you have to apply a bit longer press than normal to get it to change modes, but I can adapt to that.

Overall a great light in a small package!

Try double tapping to change modes. And a triple tap (or two too closely spaced double-tap mode changes) seems to send it back to dim.

Just for fun, I put the thermocouple sensor from the prototype of my battery/led/driver analyzer (Any interest in a LED/Battery analyzer device?) on the head of one of these flashlights/coffee warmers (with a fully charged Panasonic 2500 mAh battery) and switched it on high. Within one minute it was at 100F. After 10 minutes it was 143F. Temp peaked at 160F/70C at 72 minutes when the battery started being depleted.

One interesting thing was a short 3 degree F drop in temperature every time that I walked by it. A little moving air does wonders for cooling.
